Paw Patrol: The Great Pirate Rescue - Now available

Image
It seems as though Paw Patrol is getting more and more popular each day and that is totally fine with me.  Broxton used to love watching it, but I guess he has grown out of it now.  He will watch if Savannah is watching and it is the only thing on, but if she isn't in here to watch, he is too busy to watch it with me.  Savannah loves Skye, of course...  but Marshall is still my favorite!  I have this put up for a rainy day treat and I know she will love it when I surprise her with it!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:  The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing.  Opinions expressed are my own and were not influenced by monetary compensation.    It's all paws on deck in  Nickelodeon 's brand-new DVD collection -   PAW Patrol: The Great Pirate Rescue!   In this six-episode, swash-buckling...

Our Pirate Island Adventure and an upcoming Adults Only Night @LDCATLANTA

We are lucky enough to have Legoland Discovery Center (Atlanta) near us and with a son that loves ANYTHING LEGO, we have been at least once or twice.  Who am I kidding?  We used to have season passes and we made it a point to go as much as we could.  Since having the baby, we don't get out to go as often as we once did, so I try to make up for it when I can. Recently we were invited to go to a sneak peak for the new opening of their newest exhibit, Pirate Island.  Of course I said yes, I had to go check it out and it was a great gift for this awesome big brother we have here! Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.     As a book lover, I have several authors that I enjoy and I get so excited when a new book comes out from them.  As a book reviewer, I get to check out many cool books for kids from authors I might not have heard about otherwise.  When I was contacted about reviewing the latest book, Rufus Goes To Sea by Kim T. Griswell, I knew that was one to be excited about, since we had already checked out Rufus Goes To School and we loved that one!  One thing I love about the Rufus books? The fact that they make reading cool and important!!! (We know how much I love reading!)  In the latest book, Rufus heads to school to learn that the school is closed for summer break!  He sits down an...

Another AWESOME Pirate Book - The Pirates Next Door

Image
If you have a fan of pirates...  I have a book to recommend!!!! Remember when I told you about Broxton deciding he wanted a Pirate Book and Marc thinking he just had to have it?  Well, lucky for us... We had the chance to review the newest book from Jonny Duddle.  The latest book is The Pirates Next Door and it is just as cute as the first one we read!!!! In The Pirates Next Door, there is a pirate family moving to town!   What? They are the Jolley - Rogers and they have decided to come aboard and settle into a quiet little town while they work on fixing their boat.  Not to worry, the little girl next door decides to become friends with the little pirate boy!  Her parents are not big on their new neighbors... Not only do they have their big ol' Pirate ship right there in the way... They are a "disgrace" to the neighborhood.  That is just not the best for the neighborhood, as everyone in town makes up all these rumors about them! ...

Looking for a Great Pirate Book? The Pirate Cruncher

I love sharing books with you that we receive for review..  Well, today I have a new book to share... We had to go to the bookstore to grab a book for Marc and while there, Broxton got into his head that he just HAD to have a Pirate Book.  We took him to the kids section and he looked at books while Marc looked at the book he needed... Then, I told Broxton to put the book up and lets head home, that we could look at Pirate books from the library...  Then, Marc started talking about how great the illustrations were and that he wanted me to look at it.. (That meant that HE wanted to buy it!  Lol!) We got the book and Broxton flipped through it all the way home...  He looked at it again when we got home... and he had Marc read it to him last night for bed.. It was so cute to go and see Marc and Broxton laid up in the bed reading and then Broxton had to sleep with the book in the bed with him!!!! Marc of course had to go on and on about the illus...
