Friday Feast ( #Linky) Parmesan Baked Pork Chops

Image
Well, it is Friday again!   This time next week, I will have a 6 year old!!!!   Where does the time go??  Since it is Friday Feast, I thought I would share a recipe that Broxton loves (Marc and I do as well!)  Also, a picture of my sweet boy with a "Birthday Milkshake"  guess we are celebrating all week!    Parmesan Baked Pork Chops 4 boneless pork chops 1 T. olive oil 1 C. parmesan cheese 1 C. Italian bread crumbs 1 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. garlic powder On a plate combine the last 4 ingredients. Rub the pork chops with olive oil and then dip (coat) each one in the cheese mixture. Press the mixture over the pork chops to make sure they are well covered in it. Line a pan with tin foil and spray with cooking spray. Place the pork chops on the pan and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. This works best if you flip 1/2 way through, or bake on a rack in the pan, so both sides are crispy. Let me know if you have tried this before.  We enjoy it!   Also, s

I love chocolate and never need an excuse to enjoy it.   Having said that, I do not only give Broxton chocolate for Valentines, I also love giving him books (as I normally do for every holiday, books are great!)  I was excited when Disney sent us a couple Valentine themed books this year, as I know we are going to enjoy them!   A Magical Match Ages 3-5 Sofia visits her friend, Lucinda, one afternoon and is delighted to learn that she also has a pet bunny -a girl bunny at that. Sofia and Lucinda think their bunnies should be the best of friends, but sparks do not seem to be flying when Clover and Hexie meet. Lucinda decides to speed things up w

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation If you have a young girl in the house that watches Disney, you might be familiar with Liv and Maddie... It is one of the hit Disney Channel shows right now.  I have seen it before, just because the TV has been on in the background, but it isn't one that Broxton watches.  I love seeing the kids in Broxton's school walking around with their reading books and I know that I will be seeing this one soon!   It is a book from the show and it even includes photos from the show as well!   What a great way to get kids more involved in reading and spending less time watching TV!   Sisters Forever Ages 9-12 It’s a wrap on Liv’s hit TV show, Sing It Loud!-and her sporty twin, Maddie, is so excited to have her back h

I do remember Broxton's first time there and I will always remember the excitement on his face.  When he was a baby, we were sent a couple Build-A-Bear items for Christmas and each year we proudly display them in our home.   From the Build-A-Bear items to the experience of visiting a location, Build-A-Bear takes pride in their company and in what they produce!    I just hate that I have never really thought about getting a Valentines gift from them, until now!!!  I was lucky enough to be contacted about getting to host a giveaway for one of you lucky readers to win a cute animal!  (It will not arrive in time for Valentines, but

Sour Little What?????????

Image
A while back, Broxton spotted this candy at the store.  He was adamant he wanted them.  He did not get them that day, but it was funny to hear him talk about it.  He kept asking me to please go and buy him some " sour little humans."  I thought it was a bit creepy, but I also thought it was sort of funny!  Of course, he ended up getting them and I wish I could share the faces he made as he was eating them!  What is a funny word or phrase of a snack for your kid(s)?

One show being the latest "Blaze and the Monster Machines" Broxton LOVES it and I thought it was pretty neat that it was discussing the whole "STEM" education (that we just recently learned about with him being in school - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)  Broxton really gets into watching this show and I can not wait to surprise him with the latest --- a Mini-Movie!   Nickelodeon is also releasing

Stuck in your head and that kid wants to watch it... Every - Single - Time!    Now, if we could have a Wallykazam DVD, I would be happy!!!!  This is their Springtime Adventures DVD and this would be a great addition to any adorable Easter baskets you might be planning!  This DVD will be available for purchase on February 17th. I was not familiar with Del Taco until Marc passed one and immediately had to turn around for us to go and try it out. Come to find out, he was familiar with Del Taco and LOVED IT!   I wasn't sure, until we walked in and I could see why he enjoyed it.  It was all fresh food and at a great price.  The presentation of the food was like they cared, not just any other fast food location.  We have been a few times, but since there isn't one right down the road, the visits aren't as often as we would like.  We have been lucky to have one open up closer than the previous location, so that does help, but it doesn't help to get their emails with the great specials

I think that is how we first learned about our first book, Sheriff Callie's Wild West.  This show follows a cute little cat named Callie and in the book we were sent, I was able to learn how she became SHERIFF Callie!  In The Cat who Tamed The West , we meet Callie and her horse, Sparky.  They are out for an afternoon ride and after some time, they worked up quite a thirst and ended up in a town called Mean and Messy Corners!  As Callie is in the town trying to get something to drink, she encounters several bandits
