Have you heard of the book, The Deep Black Pond by Morgan Kostival ? We were able to review it and I tell you, the photography in it is very vivid. Hard to figure out what some things are, but interesting to look at! I thought Broxton would like it, since it was about a pond and the fish, since he likes them... But, he was not really into it. Actually, he could have cared less... So, I read it, as I wanted to try and understand it... The story is about a couple of creatures that live in the Deep Black Pond. There is so much Pond Scum that it is all dark and nasty... Which leads to the creatures not being able to see much around them. That makes them a bit nervous as to what is going on around them and not being "social" with the others living in the pond. There is a King... and a Queen... and a Baron... but none socialize with each other! The photos show the King and his gold.. Do you know what makes Broxton laugh? Crazy silly words! Yes... and laugh he did when we reviewed the book, The Planet Gazimbo In Galaxy Zamz ! With characters like the Gumblies , Gazoopers , and Gams ! Just saying them out loud, don't you see? They live in a Galaxy far from Earth. Well, the Gumblies started getting greedy and had the others all needy... Which started them into fighting with one another. Who could build bigger and better? Who had more money? Long story short.... they had a visitor show up in the sky... They fought it and nothing would work... UNTIL they worked together... Come to find out, it was PEACE, and at that point, they learned they needed one another! It was a cute book... ( Broxton loved the illustrations and the funny words!) October was National Anti Bully Month... But that doesn't mean that we should forget about it now that it is over... Each day, a kid somewhere is being bullied... Be it at home or school... From a loved one or a peer. It is quite sad when you think about it... Our kids need to know that we believe in them. We are there for them, cheering all the way! Marianne Richmond wrote yet another wonderful book. (We have another of her books that we bought right before Marc deployed that I read to Broxton every night before he went to sleep...) I still do not get the whole Shaun the Sheep, but Broxton laughs, so that is all that matters, right? It isn't violent. It isn't nasty. It is something that makes him smile. Makes him laugh... I got to thinking about it... Living in an apartment, Broxton has never really had the chance to play in dirt... Our playground isn't the best... So, we stick to the porch and plenty of cement! About a month or so ago, Broxton got it in his head he really wanted to play in the dirt... So, we went on the OTHER SIDE of our porch... Hey, we don't have much to work with here!!!! Then, daddy decided he wanted to clean it up a bit for Broxton to play in.... Now, we have a "construction zone!" Then, daddy had to tell Broxton what each tractor did and they played in the dirt... Broxton loved it!!! He would have stayed out there for hours! A boy and his dirt! Come back next week to see what we ended up doing!!!! Happy Wednesday!

No matter what, we all need to drink water. I try to drink plenty each day and I admit, I sometimes fall short. I have realized that I do better at my amount of water if I have it in bottles. Because of that, I keep several water bottles in our fridge. You know, like if I finish off a juice bottle, I refill it with water. That is good for the house, but I am not going to go to the gym or out to run errands with that big ugly thing! Now, I do not have to! Thanks to Nalgene Translucents I can drink my water with pride!
