If you were here yesterday, you read about us seeing Saltoriya at Beau Rivage in Biloxi.

As I said, you can totally "do Biloxi" with kids... and The Beau makes that easy to happen!
Yes, they have an awesome casino floor - with a little of this and a little of that...  That is for the 21 and over crowd, but you need to know this...
They have a kids arcade as well!  It is open from like 10 am to 11 pm (somewhere around there, don't quote me on that.. and I am sure they change the hours based upon the season.)
But more that that, they have an awesome buffet that is sure to please the tastebuds of everyone in your party!  Since I knew we were headed there, I contacted them to see if we might be able to work together and they were awesome enough to give us complimentary champagne brunch on Saturday before the show!

Let me just say, this isn't just any random buffet...
This is THE BUFFET.  The Buffet at Beau Rivage...
It is so good and full of different foods, not just basic Fried Chicken and mashed potatoes (Although they have both of those items and both are delicious!)
We went for the champagne brunch and I had all plans on eating a nice breakfast and being on my way, but once I saw all of the options, I had a little breakfast to start with and then sampled a few lunch items to make sure they were all just as tasty!

I loved that even though it was early, they still had a great salad bar available. The mixed greens, the wide variety of toppings.... the great selection of dressings...  I love salad and could have totally filled up on that, but then I spotted the hot food and had to venture that way!  For the record, I love the salad bowls too... and I have asked them where I could purchase one... I will have a bowl soon!  I just have to have one...

They have an Omelet station there where they make them fresh right in front of you, after you tell them whatever you want to have in there... I watched them whip a few up and they looked light and fluffy and ready to be inhaled, but I kept strolling...   Besides the Omelet station, they also have a carving station with all sorts of meats that will make every meateater feel like they are in heaven!  As I said, they aren't just any buffet... They also have a "regional favorites" section and did I mention they even have a Wood Fire Pizza Section as well?  Yes---   endless great food selections... but ---  Eggs Benedict, asparagus and their mashed potatoes were calling me at that moment.

You guessed it -- Regional Favorites had a nice big selection of Crawfish... I am not a fan, so I kept walking, but I did have to take a picture, as Marc loves these and always has to mess with Broxton about them every time he sees them!  UGH!!!!!!!!!!

The buffet comes with your choice of beverage, but I did notice that they have a beer and wine section over to one area... I believe they have a great selection for you to choose from at an additional price, but I did not order one, so I did not ask.  (Champagne brunch included champagne / mimosas.)  Over by the Beer and Wine section, I noticed Asian Options, but by that point, I was stuffed... Did I mention Broxton wanted a pork chop and I had to try that out as well?  Delicious!  Juicy and VERY flavorful!

Of course, no buffet would be complete without a trip to check out the deserts...
Broxton fell in love with the fruit loop krispy treats last time, but they didn't have any available this time around, not to worry though, I was enjoying their tiramisu and he felt that he needed to "taste" mine and ended up eating it all...

I can not tell you what all flavors they had for the frozen yogurt, but I know I caught my dad enjoying the chocolate flavor...   Broxton had one as well, since he just HAD to have sprinkles and he came strolling up with 3 different flavors!

To say that we left happy would be an understatement, since we were all full and happy and ready for the day!!

Are you a fan of buffets?  What is a must have for you when you do enjoy a buffet?

Thinking Thursdays

Okay, so I used to do "Aloha Friday" but it seems that it has died down...
I have random questions of things that run through my head and I am going to start asking a question each week...  Would love to hear your answers!!!!!
I would also love for you to join in with me... Ask a Question of your own - either here in the comments or on your blog (leave me a link so I can visit and answer)  If it seems that a couple of you start doing this with me, I will totally put up a linky, but for now, I just want to know your thoughts...

Today's Question -
Do you send Thank You notes?

My answer -
I try my best to always send them.  Meaning, we always write them. I actually just found one in my purse I meant to hand deliver... but it was never done... I will give it to them the next time I see them.  We especially make it a point to send Thank you notes when Broxton gets a birthday gift or something like that... It is always hand written and sent.  I feel if someone took the time to get him a gift, we can take the time to say Thanks!  I told the oldest (that just graduated) that he needed to make sure to send Thank you notes to the people that sent him a graduation gift...  I know my family keeps things like that and it is noted if there was a note sent or not... I am not sure if it is like that everywhere, or just a southern thing, but around here, it is a way to show manners.  (I am from Georgia, what about you?)

Visit @BeauBiloxi and Check Out Their Latest Show #Saltoriya (UPDATED WITH NEW CLIP)

I am not sure about where you live, but around here, school started back this Monday...
That is just so crazy to me, being that I have a birthday in the middle of August and we were NEVER in school for my birthday, to think that it now starts BEFORE my birthday is just crazy to me!!!
I love to have a little birthday celebration and we normally try to plan a trip to Biloxi to do just that.
We had a great time (like always) and I thought it would be nice to share a few things with you.
Several of my friends enjoy Biloxi as well, since it is only 5 and a half hours from Atlanta...   but most don't think about taking the kids...  Well, I do!!!
I love the Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino (I actually celebrated my 21st birthday at their "sister" resort, The Bellagio in Las Vegas...)  and Broxton enjoys "The Beau" as well!
They have a fabulous Show Room and put on several headliners throughout the year ... The Beach Boys are headed there in October... but one great thing they do?  Each summer they have a Show they put on and this year the show was called Saltoriya.  Of course we went and we loved it!  Broxton was cracking up laughing, so I wanted to share with you this first.... This particular show ends August 17th, so you need to try and see it soon!!!
This is a cast photo of Saltoriya.  They have a little of this and a little of that... I will admit that I missed the first 30 minutes (Not my fault.) so I did miss a good bit... The show is an hour and a half and it is packed full of excitement.  They have a comedian, if you will, that sort of fills in throughout the different changes of the next act.  He doesn't talk, but he sure is funny!  Broxton really got to crack up laughing at him and I think my favorite of his skits was when he pretended he was in a car.  He uses different audience members for the skits, so everyone has a great laugh and you have no clue what to expect!

There is just something about the motorcycles in the sphere...  Even though I have seen it done before, I always get on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to be done next.  Let me say this -- the lady that gets in there is a brave, brave woman!  I was really impressed with this act and it was surprisingly different from others we have seen.

These guys--  let me just tell you this... I have a hard time walking on my own two feet at times... Throw me on a skateboard sized board that is balancing on a coffee can type cylinder... You can place your bets that I will end up with a broken bone or 100.  Not these guys... Not only did they dance around and all, they balanced on the boards.. and at times they were balancing on the SAME BOARD together... Talk about trust and balance... Yeah, they rocked it!

My favorite of the whole show was when they had the GUYS out there going totally nuts on the high beams. I thought that was fantastic and was as energetic as you could get... I do always question why certain people are part of the shows ... with the guys on the boards (in the above picture) as well as when the guys were on the high beams, they had four girls dancing all around.. Really served no point to the show, but I would guess they were there to be eye candy for the guys that didn't want to watch other males... Or maybe just a way to add a bit more movement to the show?  I really have no clue, but it wasn't really bothering me -  although my dad was thankful for it!

I found a youtube video of the part of the show that Broxton kept going on and on about -  he went in early with my mom while I was getting his popcorn...   I really have no clue what is going on, but my mom said that he was laughing as loud and hard as he could, so that lets you know that kids love it as well as adults!

We really had a great time and look forward to seeing what show they bring for summer of 2015.
Have you ever been to Beau Rivage?
If not, what is stopping you??

Check out the 1 minute fast paced clip to get a glimpse of all that Saltoriya has to offer!!!

I received a Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner sample to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
*** ALL PHOTOS BELONG TO JUMPIN BEANS BLOG.  ***

I was so excited to get an email saying I would be getting a Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner for review.  You can imagine the spills and stains from having a house full of boys...  Some are stains from when certain people don't take their shoes off when walking in the house.. others are spills from beverages / food...   Yes... even on "picnic nights" ON picnic blankets, food stains somehow manage to appear.
In the past, we would try and blot it up - clean it with some carpet cleaner which meant scrubbing away...  Let's be honest, I am not going to lug out the carpet cleaning machine for a small spot...  It is just too much work!   So - when the portable spot cleaner arrived, I knew I was going to have fun!
(I guess that is the "adult" in me coming out?)
The Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner arrived -- in all its glory - ready to be put to work!
I loved that there was NO ASSEMBLY required!  Literally take it out of the box and remove the plastic bags.  That easy!
Not really sure what this came from, but it has been aggravating me for a bit.
Spot is gone!

I really wish I could show you the before and after on my memory foam top...

It had a stain that had been on there for quite some time...  I wanted it cleaned, but let's be honest, I wasn't about to put the carpet cleaning machine up ON the bed and try and clean it... So the stain stayed.. until today!!!!  I was very VERY happy about that one being gone!!!!

I was trying to show you the clean water versus the dirty water...  It really did pull out more dirt. (A Little more than I was wanting to see, but now that it is gone, it is okay with me and makes me feel so much better knowing it is clean!!!!
I thought I was just going to use the Portable Rug Cleaner as a way to clean the spots off the carpet, but I have used this on several things throughout the house...
I have used it to clean the mattress topper...   I have used it to clean the spots on the floor.
The best?  I started using it to freshen up the upholstery on our furniture...
The chair in Broxton's room has yet to be cleaned since we bought it...  Well, now it is!
That was AWESOME!!!

What would you use a Portable Spot Cleaner for???

You know how you hear the phrase, " Learn something new every day" and you question it?  Well, for me, I seem to learn more and more about IKEA each time I go there... The first time, we weren't aware of the kids play area... (Now we are VERY aware of it!)  Well, not too long ago, I was able to go and visit IKEA just in time for their kick off on the 2015 catalog.  Talk about learning great information!!!!

I am not going to go into a bunch of detail, as everyone needs to go and experience IKEA several times for themselves, but I did want to highlight a few of the really cool things I did learn!!!!

One thing that was neat to me was seeing that you could order a custom closet... A really great part about that was that you don't have to spend all your money at once, you can order it in pieces and add to it as you feel the need. The closets come in " panel" types that has individual lighting for each clothing section... Many of those there thought the jewelry storage area was pretty nice... I did too, but I don't own that much and would never need it... It was nice though and I am sure many could fill it up a few times!
Did you know it is FREE to join the IKEA family??
Totally FREE and so worth it - the fact that you get 30 extra minutes to drop the kiddos of in Smaland so that you can enjoy kid free shopping and they can play and have a blast?  Yeah.... That isn't the only reason you will want to sign up, but it sure is a great reason to do so!
A couple other benefits?   Certain product discounts and free coffee / hot tea!
Remember when I said "learn something new"...
Well, for me - the 30 extra minutes was something new to me.. but also, every time you go, if you stop and scan your family card, you are entered into a drawing!  YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

From IKEA site:
Our KVARTAL curtain tracks provide a dynamic solution that’s convenient and easy to use. For a simple set-up with a single pair of curtains, you might opt for our basic single track rail. If you want a more modern looking window treatment, the triple track rail makes it possible to easily slide multiple panel curtains across each other.

The Kvartal was pretty neat to me... I though that this would be great in a few rooms in our house... Will for sure be back to do more research on them!

My favorite part was learning about their mattress....
First of all, I hate being hot.... especially while sleeping... I guess I should have thought about it, but the foam is the hottest... since it conforms to your body...
They said that the Spring Mattress was a great one to have if you liked to be cooler...
That was great to know... But - get - ready - for - this:
25 year limited warranty included on almost all of their mattresses!
Oh - and how about a little 90 day "love it or exchange it" on them too??
You will have to read all the details, as they do have details on them... but I have NEVER heard of that in my life and to be honest, that is pretty stinking cool to me!

Cheers to the 2015 catalog!!!!
Now that you have learned a few things that Ikea has to offer, don't you want to enter to win a giftcard???

If you know anyone that loves Gravity Falls, you will be happy to know that Disney Books has released 2 books from that show.  One is a chapter book and the other is a 2 in 1 with stickers to add to it!

Ages 6-8 Series: Gravity Falls
On the night of the Party at the Mystery Shack, Dipper discovers a way to clone himself and thinks he’s found the key to finally wooing Wendy.  But will Dipper muster up the courage to ask her to dance?  Or will his clones get jealous and turn on him?  Then, when Lil’ Gideon knocks Mabel out of the “friend zone” and into the “romance zone,” Mabel can’t turn him down!  Will Dipper help Mabel break up with Lil’ Gideon?  Or will Mabel become Lil’ Gideon’s lil’ girlfriend?  Readers will love this 112-page chapter book filled with black-and-white art from the show.
Gravity Falls - Happy Summerween!
Ages 6-8 By: Samantha Brooke Series: Gravity Falls
It’s Summerween in Gravity Falls!  Can Mabel and Dipper collect enough candy to save their souls from the Summerween Trickster?  Or will they run out of time and become the monster’s twin treat?  Then, when Dipper and Mabel join Wendy and friends in exploring a haunted convenience store, strange things start to happen.  Can the twins escape before it’s too late?  Or will they be trapped forever by ghosts?  Readers will love this eerie 2-in-1 8 x 8 with spooky stickers!
I really think that Broxton will enjoy the Happy Summerween Book right now...
For one, it has stickers- That is ALWAYS a great thing for him... and for the thing I like the most, it is a 2 in 1 book - you read it one way (Happy Summerween) then you flip it over and read the other pages (The Convenience Store ...  of Horrors!)
The Pining Away book is a chapter book and a bit too much for him at this age... but these are both great additions to add to our personal library!!!
