I love books and love that my children seem to love them as well.  We have them in pretty much every single room in our house.  They are in the car, when I take my purse, I normally have one or two small ones in there for Savannah. Not too long ago she went to the dentist. (FIRST TIME! Mommy's baby is NOT a baby anymore!)  Since both of the kids had appointments, I knew we were going to be there for a bit, so I brought a book for each one. Ripley's Believe It or Not Books are always so much fun for everyone. The things that make you cringe, the things that make you gasp... it is always an adventure to look in one of their books and they have done it again with their latest.  I love that we flip through and check it out, but then we donate it to Broxton's school so they can all enjoy it as well! They are great for all ages and for both boys and girls.  We have been fortunate to review a few of them and we have also bought many through the years.  In fact, when my mom came to visit last, she brought a copy of one of them for her to look through on the road trip up to see us. A thing I enjoy about the Ripley's books is that you don't have to "read" it like a regular book.  You can flip and read a section or two, or even a paragraph or two at a time.  There is no particular order and to be honest, if you want to, you can just look at the pictures.  Of course, once you see the pictures, you want to rea...

While I have never entered into one of the Ripley Odditoriums, I do think the books are neat (and a bit gross at times.)  I love seeing all the different subjects throughout the book and it is neat to see what people keep, what they do to their bodies and what all odd things are around. We love the Ripley's Books around here...  I was excited when we were sent the newest one, Ripley's Believe It or Not - Dare To Look  2013 .  This is the 10th "annual" book from Ripleys.  I had no idea...   At first, I wanted to save it for a Christmas gift for Marc, but then I thought about it... I knew he would love to look at in now. Yes, I went ahead and gave it to him then...  Know what he did? He sat in that chair and flipped through pretty much every page until he was finished with the book...  Then, he and Broxton looked through it again. I have not had a chance to look at it yet, but Marc has called me over on numerous times to have me look at something that he found...

If you are having a hard time trying to get a gift for someone on your list...  I highly recommend the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Download the Weird book! We were sent a copy for review and it has been passed around by everyone! As soon as it arrived, I sat it out and my husband was the first to jump into checking it out! For one that "doesn't like to read" he was turning pages and reading everything that was printed! To the point that Broxton wanted to look and he had to tell him to hold on as he wasn't finished reading the article!  Yep, he wasn't just looking at the pictures! Once he was done, Broxton decided it was his turn to check it out... He has picked it up several times wanting me to tell him about what is on different pages... Yes, we have officially reached the phase of life where everything is a question....  It is good, but it is also not that great when a simple answer will not work! We received it for review and Marc jumped on to reading and checking it out! With great photographs and awesome feats, it is sure to have you gasping in awe at some of the things mentioned... and in amazement of some of the photography! With over 250 pages, this hardback book is a great addition to any library! One thing I thought was pretty neat? On page 24, they show a picture of a child that was painted on the road near an elementary school. It is a 3-D image and when the driver gets 100 ft away, it "comes alive" giving the driver time to slow down! Talk about a mental image! From really cool animals to really nasty bugs, this book has it all...
