While the city of Atlanta was dealing with the crazy winter weather we have been having, the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey circus was in town!   The opening night was postponed, due to the weather... so that meant that our tickets had to be exchanged for another day.  We luckily were able to go to one of their day time performances and even had the chance to bring a friend along with us! We have been lucky to go to the circus the past few years and since they come right around Broxton's birthday, we always work that into the celebration week of it all! This time was no exception and he had  good time.   I am not sure where Broxton went... but as with every fun event like the circus, we have to buy popcorn.  ...

It was the Big Apple Circus and it was literally "Under the Big Top." I was excited to take Broxton, as I have decided that this year is going to be more about #MakingMemories. I thought he would have a great time and I wanted to learn more about this particular circus. First up, I was VERY aggravated on the way there. I went to their website and hit the link to get directions...  I followed them and ended up at the location... to find the parking lot closed and a professional sign (about the size of a poster board) telling me the ADDRESS of the circus location.  Granted, there was a printed map in there, but how was I as the driver with only a 4 year old, supposed to ju...

I can not remember if  I have ever actually watched a live Cirque Du Soleil, or if I have watched shows that have attempted to try and be like it.  I know my parents have seen it live and every time the tent goes up near us for the show, I say I want to go... Until that happens, I can now watch in the comforts of my own home. Don't get me wrong, I know it is totally different live versus on disc, but it was pretty amazing to watch this either way.  I had it on and next thing I knew, Marc was watching with me. In Cirque Du Soleil, Worlds Away, we have this girl that enters what looks to be a county fair/circus and is persuaded to enter the tent to watch an Aerial Show... The Aerial Artist falls off and is sucked up in a quick-sand type flooring... the girl that entered to watch heads to try and save him and the rest of the movie shows the girl on a mission seeking to find the acrobat from the start. Well, it is Wednesday... Hope the week is treating you great... If you have been around this week, you have seen my different pictures of the circus.. You can see my circus post and the pictures of the animals ... I would love to have you comment on them... (No shamelessness on me here... just love comments!) Hope you enjoy!!! Air Adventures!  These two were up high in the air where they did all sorts of tricks!  He jumped through the rings that had swords (or something) sticking inwards... Then, they added a blindfold and fire!!   I need this cutie as a stuffed animal!   One of the highlights for me!  I absolutely LOVE the Torres Family!   ***  I was not asked to post this, I just love my pictures and wanted to share with you! 

I told you I was going to be sharing more of my photos with you... Here are a couple of the horses from the other night...  We were enjoying the horses, then I looked away for a minute... I turned around to see what I thought was the rider falling off of the horse... Nope.. Whew, it was just part of their show... very impressive.. but I admit, I was so nervous!!!!   The other fun part to me?  The Lions and Tigers... It was like they were sitting in their desks for school!!!   *** We received complimentary tickets for review. 

For the past several years, we have been so lucky to have been able to take Broxton to the circus.  It was great for us, as it was right around his birthday, so it was sort of our "birthday celebration" for Broxton.  Last year, they mentioned that the circus coming our way the follow year was the "DRAGONS" event ... after seeing The Torres Family in their sphere on their bikes the first year to really enjoying the Ring Master, Johnathan Lee Iverson, we were eager to see the Dragons Tour .  As with each Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey show, they have the "pre-show" event an hour before show time... We actually did not make it this year, as we were running late, but they seemed to have added more to it...   We noticed a bounce house of sorts and plenty of clown action too!!!! I am so excited to tell you that Ringling Bros And Barnum & Bailey are headed back our way... Last year, I heard of the show that would be headed to Atlanta for 2013... Dragons . The Ringmaster is Jonathan Lee Iverson.  We saw him when he was with another of their shows in 2010. He was AMAZING.  The excitement that he brings, just adds to the enjoyment of the show!!! Broxton loved the Torres Family when he saw them before, so this is so exciting to know that they will be back this time around!!! I am just so excited that they are doing Dragons, as a tribute to The Year of the Dragon... This is sure to be full of fun!!   Dragons heads to Atlanta for February. Philips Arena has shows February 13 - 18th... and then the show heads to Duluth for February 21 - March 3rd. Head on over and purchase tickets now!!!! When Broxton saw the previews for Big Top Scooby Doo, he was so excited!!!  He kept talking about how he wanted to see it and was just too cute for words!  I was happy to know that I was going to be receiving it for review, but I kept it a secret until it arrived...  The day it came, I handed him the case and he was jumping up and down ready to watch it.. We popped a bowl of popcorn and settled in...  Popcorn... Circus and a movie?  That was a given!!!!! SYNOPSIS: When the Brancusi Circus comes to town, Fred — who has always had dreams about performing under the big top — jumps at the opportunity to visit the show. Upon their arrival,  Scooby  and the gang learn the circus performers have been terrorized by a werewolf who has not only frightened them but has also stolen jewelry from circus spectators. The circus is blamed for the attacks and faces a potential shutdown. Desperate for help, the circus ringleader turns to  Scooby - Doo ...

Last year was Broxton's first time going to the circus and we had a blast.   That being said, I knew that I wanted to take him whenever they returned... Not to mention it seems to be right around his birthday, so that makes it extra special. A friend of mine saw that Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey were headed our way... They called to see if we were planning on going, as they remembered how much we talked about enjoying the show last year.  Of course, we were... So, they got tickets to go the same night. Marc, Broxton and I got there early for the "media behind the scenes" event.   We got to listen to the animal handler talk... Broxton got to pet the horses...   We even got to watch an elephant up close and personal!
