Aloha! I hope that you had a great week and are planning to have an amazing weekend!!!! I was thinking, football season is right around the corner, so with that in mind, I am asking a rather odd (to some) question! When it comes to wedding planning, does your teams football schedule come into thought? For us.... YES!!!!! Take our wedding for example... We totally had to look at the UGA and LSU schedules when setting the date!! There was NO WAY we could have expected our family and friends to miss a big game! Ha ha!!! (Yes, Marc's LSU played BAMA , but we worked it out so that the wedding and reception would END before the game, so that everyone could make it to be in front of a TV for it... This past weekend one of my kid brothers got married... Just a few photo's from the big day... Oh yeah, I had a hard time getting my camera to work? Not sure what that was about, so they aren't the best... But, I still love them!!!! My brother and my nephew before the wedding... Love the father and son moment! After the wedding... Aloha! It is that time again... Aren't you glad it is ALOHA FRIDAY? ! Relax.... Its the weekend! My question this week - Have you ever renewed your wedding vows? If not, would you ever? My answer... Yes! We actually just renewed them this weekend ! It was wonderful and of course, I cried!!!!

What a weekend! ( I am not sure about other branches, so when I am writing this... I am referring to my experience with the Army National Guard.) The Guard has what is called a Yellow Ribbon Service. Basically, it helps with the service member (and the spouse) with coming home and reintegrating into civilian life. We actually got to go to a Yellow Ribbon Service BEFORE Marc deployed (to give the spouses information as to what resources were available to us during the deployment.) Once Marc was home, they had another one, just to remind everyone that they were there for us. This past weekend... There was a Yellow Ribbon Service as well as a Strong Bonds retreat. What is Strong Bonds? Basically... It was a marriage retreat. We went and I think we both had a great time. All the guys were there... and not in uniform, so I am sure they liked that better than the normal drill each month. They put us up in really nice hotels...
