Free Halloween Event at your local Portrait Innovations!

Image
Halloween is such a fun time of year for us.  Broxton loves getting dressed up and going trick or treating.  Savannah is at the age now that I think she will enjoy it more this year.  Her first Halloween she was a ghost to Broxton's Ghostbuster.  Last year, I had a hard time remembering... (I finally did, she was a butterfly and he was a ninja... ) Forgetting what they were LAST YEAR made me pretty excited to learn that Portrait Innovations was running a special!  I know I won't forget this time!  She is a little devil and he is a Phantom of Darkness! I absolutely LOVE the shot they captured of them! Throw Me Something, Mister! We went to #NewOrleans for #MardiGras

Image
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that we were recently in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I was a first timer and let me tell you, it was so much fun. Let me clear up one thing now...  I had Savannah (1) and Broxton  (8) and it was totally okay.  Mardi Gras isn't just what you see on TV.  We walked through the Quarter (during the day) and it was fine too.  I think there are some things that are best left for the older crowd, but it was great for kids and mine weren't the only ones there, just so everyone knows.   Broxton was so excited to see that sign!!! Heads up... They have these carts ALL OVER the place before the parades.  I was surprised they didn't try pushing it more on the kids, but they were there... and it was hard to miss ALL OF THEM.   We managed to get to see several parades.  It was neat, you wait and wait and wait...  then their cable truck comes through with a big pole.  I was told it was to make...

Now that the holidays are over and you have Instagramed, Tweeted, Facebooked and posted to all the other social media sites...  Why not find that perfect photo and take it off your phone --- and get it printed and into your home?   We were recently given the chance to check out the site Instantly Framed  and  I only had one draw back on it... It is only available on the iPhone App Store.  Lucky for us, we have an iPad, so we were able to check it out, but I do hope that they add an app for those not using Apple products.   When the picture arrived, I was very excited, I had planned to put it on our mantle.  The only problem was that I felt the stand made it lay back a bit ...

What TV Show is This? Answers!!!!

Image
If you stopped over for my Wordless Wednesday Post last Wednesday, you saw these pictures... Today, I wanted to answer where you might know the scenes... WALKING DEAD  Up first:   This was the abandoned house that Daryl goes to looking for Sophia. Remember the Cherokee Rose in the back yard? This is the campsite for the finale. Remember Rick says "this is no longer a Democracy." Ha!  Did you guess this?  This is the entrance to the bar where Rick and Glenn find Hershel drinking. (Later the boys from Nebraska show up... Remember that?) The back door where Hershel and Glen escape from the bar...  Now, can you guess this? This is the pharmacy on the left (where Glen and Maggie got supplies)  and then the "carriage house" on the right is where Randal jumps when he's shooting at them... later getting his leg impaled on the fence. (No, there is no fence there in real life... it was a prop.) So, how did y...

What TV show is this? W/W

While the boys were here for Spring Break, we took a little ride and went to see where a certain TV show is filmed...  I will do another post to tell you the answer, but I would love for you to see if you know what show it is based upon these pictures.... ANY GUESSES??? Happy Wednesday!!!!!

Easter Memories

Image
My parents LOVE to see pictures of Broxton..  And I just have a couple to share with you today... We have been visiting a new church... and we are really loving it so far.   The other day, they had an egg hunt for all the kids in the community... (I heard thousands of eggs were dropped)  and of course, we took Broxton.  It was his first "real" egg hunt, as he normally just hunted them in our yard... and as the only child... It was fun, they had area's sectioned off for each age group: Little Tarp Put down for those that crawl.... Broxton's age group.  They even had the Easter Bunny Show up for pictures!!!! If that wasn't enough excitement... They even had a bounce house... one for bigger kids... and one for Broxton's age: Hope you had a Wonderful Easter.

W/W - Just Like Daddy

Image
Broxton wants to be so much like his daddy that it is not funny. The other day I walked out to this: Daddy and Broxton washing their bikes Have to make sure it is really clean, just like daddy's!  Wipe it really good! Don't forget the back Need to wash it once more Just a little more spray All done! I love my boys!!!!!!!!!! Happy Wednesday!

Our Incredible Night with @WWE. That's What Memories Are Made Of

Image
Not to brag about my hometown or anything, but the last few weeks have brought much excitement to Albany, Georgia!  I was very shocked to see that Smackdown: The Road to Wrestlemania was going to be headed down there.  I just tend to think of the WWE in bigger venues, so I really wanted to go and take Broxton.  Not that the Civic Center down there is teeny, tiny... but that it is small in comparison to Atlanta's Phillips Arena! We luckily had the chance to go and you will never believe who went with Broxton and I... My parents! Yes!  They really wanted to go and see how Broxton would react to seeing all the wrestlers... and I tell you now... Broxton did not disappoint!  He was yelling and screaming and chanting just as loud as every other person in there.  My parents were a bit of amusement all in their own too... Broxton so excited to be at WWE!!!! (Even in his too big for him John Cena shirt!) Why?  Because they know nothing about toda...
