I have always loved PBS and the fact that the shows that are on there are great for my little ones.  Not only is it great programming for the entertainment factor, they also have educational aspects that is a great way to help "teach" younger minds without boring them with lectures!  We don't always watch the television, but I love having it on for background noise.  It is fun to see what actually grabs the attention of a little one and we mix it up with different shows from time to time.  Another thing I love?  Having the shows on DVD so that if its a time when that particular show isn't on, we still have the option to watch!   Also to take when we visit grandparents as they don't have the kids shows ready to watch when we are there!   Ha ha ha!!!!  We were recently sent a few new DVDs of great PBS programming and I want to share with you a few newly released DVDs. Please note, if you click the image, you will be taken to AMAZON through my affil...

I loved Mister Rogers as a child, so I know the hint of nostalgia was a big reason we started watching.  Even now, we still "ugga mugga" at times (if you don't know about ugga mugga, you need to watch an episode!) and it always makes my heart happy.  I am so excited that they have new DVD's coming out, so we can fall in love all over again watching with Savannah! Super Daniel - Feb 2, 2016  “ SUPER DANIEL!”  will be available on DVD starting February 2, 2016. The DVD has a run time of approximately 110 minutes and an SRP of $12.99. The “ SUPER DANIEL! ” DVD includes the stories below. “...

The kids programming is not only fun for them to watch, it is also educational and for a mama, that makes my heart happy!  We loved the children's programs throughout the early years of Broxton's life, but when you are 6 going on 21, you seem to say " I don't want to watch those BABY shows anymore!" Having turned the corner on those shows, we are now coming back around since we have Savannah.  No, I don't plop her in front of the tv or anything like that, but as I mentioned, we love background noise here, so we have been k...

We love all that PBS has to offer and the latest " 20 Furry Tales" doesn't disappoint. Especially when you consider it is 4 hours... and the SRP is less than $10.  Talk about a great deal!!!!  This would be worth it to give to several kids on your list!!!!  “ 20 FURRY TALES ,” which includes approximately  four hours  of adventures, is available exclusively at Walmart stores (SRP: $6.99). It features stories and clips from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Caillou, WordWorld, Super Why, Peg + Cat, Arthur, WordGirl, Reading Rainbow and Wild Kratts. From picking a new class...

When I was young, I went to a day care.  I remember that every day, they would get us ready for when our parents would pick us up.  We would all sit and watch a couple kid friendly shows, they would wash our hands and face (day care was rough... we played all the time OUTSIDE!)  fix our hair and then we would go home...   One of the shows we watched?  Mister Rogers Neighborhood. I loved it as a kid and when I saw that they had sort of "remade" Mister Rogers show, I was THRILLED!!!!   Granted, it is geared for the preschool age, but every now and then I still catch Broxton watching it.   The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. As a child, I was a huge fan of Mr. Rogers neighborhood, so it was only meant to be that I was going to be so excited when I heard of Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.  Have you heard of it? Long story short- (This is totally my opinion... so don't go thinking this was stated anywhere besides here)  If you were a fan of Mr. Rogers, you remember how he would put his shoes on, hang up his sweater and how he had that adorable trolley???  Well, now- we have Daniel Tiger, who also puts his shoes on, wears a red sweater ... and get this - HE RIDES THE TROLLEY.    The characters are actually off-springs of the characters we loved from the original show. You can " meet the characters " and see just what I m...
