Best Gift For 2024 - ONCE UPON A BOOK CLUB - Thank Me Later!!!

Image
As 2023 comes to a close, I really wanted to talk about one of my most favorite subscription boxes.  I have to admit, as a mom, I tend to spend all of my money on my kids... and other loved ones... and rarely on me.  Every now and then I take a chance and order a subscription box for myself.  It ends up being a fun treat, since I don't know what is in there and it is like little surprises for me!   To be honest, several of them were major let downs. I am sorry, but just because I am a female, it does NOT mean I want a box full of makeup / pamper items... So those are normally a big waste for me.  FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Once Upon A Book Club - Subscription Box Review

Image
Okay y'all, let me just tell you...  If you know me, you KNOW I very rarely spend money on myself.  I am not one to go and buy myself new clothes / shoes or items just because.  I spend my money on my kiddos!  Especially when it comes to the holidays!  I have had my eye on ONCE UPON A BOOKCLUB since the first time it crossed my feed, but I knew I would not be trying it, since that would mean spending money on ME instead of THEM.   I was so excited when I got the opportunity to review one and let me just say... I have told everyone I cross paths with about this, so now it is time to tell you guys!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. As the holidays approach - Keep @LootCrate in mind! #Review #GiftGuide

Though the years, I have had the opportunity to check out many subscription boxes. Some I have been lucky enough to review, others I have purchased and some I have seen/ heard friends speak of.  Through all the different boxes I have seen, one of the ones that always sticks out to me is LootCrate.  I was lucky enough to work with them for a while and YEARS later, I still talk about those boxes!  With Loot Crate, you get so much...  First thing, that I thought was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME was the box -  You get a black box in the mail, open it and it is full of goodies.. but that isn't it.  You take the box apart and turn it inside out / right side in, however you want to call it... either way, the plain box you get in the mail is FAR FROM plain now!   We used them for decoration / storage and they really hold up!    FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufact...

Take a Ride with Sunny The Snail Mail #Review #GiftGuide

Image
I don't know about your house, but ours sure does love when mail comes.  I enjoy it to, unless it is a bill, but you know what I mean!  We have been lucky enough to have a sample of Sunny the Snail Mail sent to us for review and Savannah loves getting a weekly letter in the mail letting her know what Sunny has been up to!  It is a cute (and fun) envelope that has a letter in it, stickers and another treasure or two. Each letter tells of Sunny's adventure delivering mail to his animal friends and the things along the way.  The letters are fun and interesting, but also educational as well!  Perfect to build a love of reading at a young age and they get fun keepsakes as well!  (The latest for us included a postcard she could color along with her letter and stickers!)   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of ...

Trying to find the perfect gift can be a bit difficult at times.  I personally try to make sure it is something I think the person would really like, not just grab something to have a gift on hand.  Having said that, it is nice to treat yourself to something from time to time, but lets be honest, it really isn't fun to unwrap a gift that you bought yourself.  Where is the fun and surprise in that?!  Enter - monthly subscription boxes!  Stay with me, don't leave yet!!!! A feel good subscription box @faithhopelovebox

Image
I have tried many different subscription boxes over the years. I will be honest, one of the hard things about being a single mama of 2 small kids is sometimes you feel like it would be awesome to get a "just because" gift, but there is no one to give it to you.  It was fun checking out different boxes so that a surprise would come and I didn't have a clue what was in there... Unfortunately most of the subscriptions boxes were filled with makeup and what not.  I am sorry, but getting a singles box or a self care box and having it have makeup products, it doesn't do anything for me.  I rarely wear makeup and to top it off, that sends me a message I need to make myself up to be someone else... but I don't feel I do.  Saying all of that to say this... I absolutely loved the Faith Hope Love Box that I was able to review.  It was filled with products that made me smile and happy and let me be me!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(...

Looking for a great birthday gift? @readysetgobox has you covered!

Image
If you saw one of my latest Instagram posts, you surely have seen my post about Ready Set Go Boxes. I will totally admit I have a slight obsession with looking at all the goodies in these different subscription boxes.  They have boxes for everything and this Ready Set Go one is pretty cool!!!   We were sent their BIRTHDAY BOX and it was full of goodies that we have enjoyed. They also have a monthly subscription service and I think that might be something we look at down the road.  The monthly boxes are packed with goodies for children aged 3-5 years old.  I know that my family calls and asks what my kids are into each month.  I have also had friends call and say, hey what do you recommend to give to a boy/girl and then list the age that they are looking to buy for. The Ready Set Go Box will help those that don't like asking for suggestions, but want to give a great gift!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:   The product(s) featured in this review...

Broxton loved the Mario shirt in the past @Lootcrate

I am totally loving the whole "subscription box" shopping that is going on these days.  It makes things fun and interesting.  I have been so lucky to have been working with Loot Crate in hosting reviews of their amazing boxes.  Each month, I think they have got to let me down at some point, I mean just how AWESOME is a company that always goes above and beyond, more than they did the month before?  Well, Loot Crate has YET to disappoint and that says so much to me! When opening your Loot Crate, this is what you first see.  You know you want to dive in and check it all out!!!! The February @LootCrate was #BUILD - perfect for an 8 year old birthday gift!

Image
The month of February brought much fun here.  We had a 21st birthday, an 8th birthday, Valentines and even a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras.  The 8 year old is into building things (still, thank goodness) so when I opened up the February Loot Crate, I knew it was going to be a great gift!  Oh, lets not forget that you can turn this months box into a Robot!!!  Score, yet again! Who would think that plain box would open up to be turned into something super cool and that it would hold so many awesome things???? If you follow me on Instagram , you know that the shirt was immediately worn. He loved it and had to wear it that night for part of his pajamas!  While I know I said this b...

AntiHero theme for #lootcrate, awesome products again!

Image
I tell you what, LootCrate really sets the bar high for other Subscription boxes to compete with on amount and quality.  Each month, I think they can't be outdone and then BOOM - DROP THE MIC, they outdo themselves with the next box.  The theme I am sharing this time around?  Anti-Hero. FTC Compliant Review Policy: The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. You know how much I love that Lootcrate  has a shirt in each box. This one had a shirt from Archer.  Now, I have never seen Archer, but I hear several of my friends talking about it.  That is on my "must watch an episode" list.  Have you ever seen it?  I guess this shirt is something you would understand if you watched the show.   I also love when they have figures in there and alt...
