Three Years Ago, I Was Terrified....

Three Years Ago, I was terrified, beyond belief...
I was preparing to go to the hospital for Broxton to be born.  Marc was supposed to be flying home from deployment training... My brother, Ashton was headed to Atlanta to go with me to the hospital so I would not be alone...I tell you what, he might be my kid brother, but that meant the world to me, having him there...
He came to our apartment.. then followed me to the hospital.

I was checked into a room and he left to go get Marc from Marta...  My parents were driving up after work.  I was so excited, the fact of being a mom... But I have no shame admitting, I was terrified like you just do not know.. First time as a mom, also dealing with my husband deploying... (It would be my first deployment, not his...) I wanted to be the perfect wife and mom... but I was just scared...

I remember that Marc had left for training and I was so worried...  I was worried he would miss the birth.

All of a sudden, I saw it:

Those dirty combat boots at the bottom of the curtain..
I started crying, knowing that he had made it and was there.

He wanted a shower (loving wife that I was, I totally forgot the towel for he had to use some from the hospital!)

We had asked for no visitors, since Marc was only going to be there for a couple of days, I wanted to make sure that Broxton and Daddy had plenty of time before he left...
Marc got his shower... and we just sat around visiting...
It was wonderful.
Knowing that my family was there ... and that come the next day, I would be a mommy!

Stay tuned... and come back tomorrow!

What's Your Number - Movie Night Review

Anna Farris makes me laugh.  I find myself cracking up at her and I do not know of a movie with her in it that I have not enjoyed... (That I can remember.)
I wanted to see What's Your Number, just because of her...  I knew it would be a funny one!

The basis of the movie?
Ally (played by Anna) reads a magazine article that tells her that women that have slept with 20 guys have already missed their "Mr. Right" so she starts to freak out.  It all happens as her sister is planning to marry the love of her life.  So, sure... the pressure is on, as she is the older sister!
Ally starts trying to track down all of her past partners to see if one might be "the one."
It doesn't help that she has a new neighbor, who seems to open the door to get the paper normally wearing nothing but a smile, is a single guy!  The neighbor is Chris Evans, I have never heard of him... but after looking him up on IMDB, he has been around for a bit, just not in movies I have seen.

This movie had me laughing all the way through it...   Although, I was a bit disgusted by Joel McHale's character, good thing he isn't in it too long...   I would love for there to be a sequel to this.. and now that I have watched the movie, I would love to read the book!

After reading a magazine article that insists if a woman has slept with at least 20 people that they have already missed Mr. Right, marketing executive Ally Darling (Anna Faris) begins to panic, thinking that she will be alone forever. With the help of her hunky new neighbor (Chris Evans), Ally starts tracking down all her ex-boyfriends, hoping to find her real true love while she helps him escape his latest fling. Hilarious hijinks and adventure ensues as Ally goes on her wild search for the best “ex” of her life, only to find what she is looking has been right in front of her all along.

Featuring hysterical supporting performances from Chris Pratt (Moneyball, “Parks and Recreation”), Joel McHale (“The Soup,” “Community”) and Andy Samberg (“Saturday Night Live,” Hot Rod), WHAT’S YOUR NUMBERis based on the book “20 times a Lady” by Karen Bosnak and will be available as a Blu-ray combo pack and single disc DVD. Flaunting an unrated extended cut of the film and loaded with laugh-out-loud bonus material including new expanded flashback dates and gag reel, the Blu-ray combo pack and single disc DVD will be available for an average retail price of $29.99 and $19.99 respectively.

Where DO You Put All of That?! @TheBuilderBag Review

As a mom of a toddler, you can only imagine all the different toys and what not that we have.
From cars to trains, wrestlers to teddy bears.   We have shelves and bins, buckets and more...
I have recently learned of a great new item to help clean up time!

It is the Builder Bag!
Simply put... Build and play, then stash it away!
I love that... That's my tag line, thank you very much! :)

We were lucky enough to receive an Avocado Builder Bag.
(They also come in Orange and Sky Blue.)
We opened it and Broxton was trying to figure out what was going on...
I showed him how he could play on it, or move it to the side, when playing elsewhere...
BUT, when it was Clean Up Time, they all went back in the bag...
Then, you pull the cord and hang the bag up!

Our living room started off like this:  Trains and tracks everywhere...
Then, I pulled out the Builder Bag to show where the tracks would now go:
Clean Up, Clean Up, It is time to Clean Up!
Pull the cord and the bag is closed... Several handles make it easy for carrying or hanging up!
You can purchase either the small or large bags... and you can also purchase the Builder Pegs if you want to hang the bags up on the wall!

Now, we use ours for the train tracks (as he already has storage for the trains.)
If you have a big Lego fan or any other item that has several pieces...
Even Barbies and ALL of her accessories!

This is a must have for your sanity!
It is easy to clean, carry and put away.
Not to mention, it is cute!
Talk about a splash of color to decorate!
I love how we have the avocado.
Most items are blue and red, so I am glad the Builder Bag changed up the colors a bit!

Also, since we are talking about children here...
You will be happy to know that you can remove the cord and wood ball...
THEN throw it in the wash!  Yes!!!!

Side note, the creative mind of Broxton:
Whenever he gets the bag out, he has to walk around saying he is Santa and "Ho Ho Ho!"

You can follow Builder Bag on Facebook and Twitter.

Stay Well. Stay Hydrated. For You. For Life... @Drinkneuro

I admit that I read what the celebrities are up to... Yes, some would call me a junkie.  No, I don't stalk and no, I do not fall into all the crazes that they promote... BUT, I do get curious.
A while back, I saw all the buzz with celebrities was about this new drink, Neuro.
I will tell you, I started looking for it...  I wanted to know what the big deal was.
I never found it and I did not have the opportunity to review it... Until Now.

I was recently sent several of the Neuro drinks  to try .
First of all, the person in charge of their packaging is to be recommended.
I notice the packaging of all things and it is very eye catching.
The only bad thing about the bottles?  As soon as my toddler saw them, he immediately wanted me to drink "all of them now" so that he could use them for bowling!    Hey, at least we can recycle them into a fun game once we enjoy them.

Now let me tell you this...
I was eager to try them all, but I wanted to try them in the way they are made...
Not to just drink them for the flavor.

As I write this post, I have yet to drink them all, but I do for sure plan on it.
I will say, it is sort of hard to describe some of the flavors...

The first I want to tell you about:  NeuroBliss.  To me, it tasted a bit like a carbonated lemonade.  I really enjoyed it and I could see me drinking these on days where I am trying to just relax and take it easy.

NeuroBliss® is a delicious drink designed to promote happiness and eliminate stress without affecting your energy levels. The combination of blissful ingredients in this product is distinctly unique from any other product on the market. L-Theanine, an amino acid found in green tea which has been clinically proven to help reduce stress, works by altering brain waves, shifting them from the beta spectrum to the alpha spectrum — where a person is focused and alert, but calm. NeuroBliss is perfect for anyone wishing to reduce anxiety caused by every day stressors. NeuroBliss® can be consumed multiple times per day and works immediately.

Up next, the NeuroSport.  Now, I have not tried this one yet, but plan to this weekend.  If it is anything like the ones I have tried, they will win me over.  I am not a huge sports drink fan, so I am really hoping that this one pulls me in!

NeuroSport™ is a delicious drink designed to replenish the body during and after exercise with the unparalleled combination of 12 minerals and 5 electrolytes. The five key electrolytes of potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, and chloride are in each bottle. Most sports drinks contain only 2 — sodium and potassium — not enough to keep the body properly hydrated. It’s scientifically proven that magnesium, calcium, and chloride significantly contribute to effective rehydration during exercise. NeuroSport™ also has good-for-you minerals such as chromium, copper, manganese, molybdenum and selenium, which are depleted during rigorous workouts. Quickly restoring these minerals helps improve endurance and increase fitness levels, making NeuroSport™ the sports drink of the next generation.

The one I am most excited to try:  NeuroTrim.   I have tasted it, as I would hate to have my hopes up for this and it taste like crap.  Nope, it has a little bit of a fruity flavor... Hard to describe.  But good, so yes, I know I will enjoy drinking this... and hope against all hope that it does control my appetite.

NeuroTrim™ is a refreshing, non-carbonated drink formulated to help promote healthy weight loss. NeuroTrim contains a special form of fiber known asAmorphophallus konjac ("LuraLean®").  Compared to other fibers, LuraLean is considerably more hygroscopic (water-absorbing) and dense, both factors contributing to its effectiveness. When consumed, LuraLean expands in the stomach to many times its original size, helping to control appetite and reduce between meal food cravings. Based on the expansion properties of LuraLean, one gram (included in each serving of NeuroTrim) is equivalent to 18-20 grams of regular fiber. In conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise program, NeuroTrim should be consumed 30 minutes prior to each major meal.

Finally, my favorite:  NeuroSleep.  I was really hopeful that this would be like a wonder drug.  My mom has issues sleeping.  Marc has issues sleeping. Both of my grandparents, my aunt... I could go on and on.  I was dreaming that this would work, as I hate when people have to take sleeping pills and what not to rest.  I saw that the NeuroSleep has melatonin in it, so I was eager to give this a try.  Okay, I am sold.  Completely sold!  I drank one and in just a bit, I was so tired that my eyes were crossing.  To me, the flavor tastes like a watered down tang.  Not a bad thing, as you are trying to go to sleep... not get all pumped up.  It was relaxing and very enjoyable.  I finished the bottle, stayed up a bit longer... went to bed and had a great nights sleep.  I woke up refreshed and ready to go!  This is a winner in my book!

NeuroSleep™ is a delicious drink formulated with ingredients to help promote restful sleep. Each ingredient contained in NeuroSleep plays a unique role in the sleep cycle. Melatonin, which is found naturally in tart cherries but also produced in the body, serves as the primary ingredient to promote restful sleep. Additionally, NeuroSleep™ provides 5-HTP, an ingredient structurally similar to the amino acid tryptophan, which provides structural support to neurotransmitters important for cognitive health. Magnesium is included at 300 mg per bottle (75% of the daily value), and serves as a key electrolyte that may help prevent cramping during rest. NeuroSleep™ is the optimal bedtime drink, providing quality rest which helps you function at your best.

If you have not figured it out, I am in love with the NeuroSleep.  It is by far my favorite.  As far as the taste and the results.  I could go on and on and tell you about the other ones, but I would really love for you to visit the Neuro site and check it out for your self.  It is very impressive.  Of course, I share the good with the bad... So:  the bad?  It seems as though I can not purchase it locally in any store near me...  I really hate that... but, the good is that I can order it online.
Click on over to see if Neuro is near  you.

Don't forget to follow Neuro on Facebook and Twitter.

(They had a contest going on twitter the other day to win a case! Also, tweet your favorite Neuro Drink  and they donate to the Elton John Aids Foundation!)

Have you ever tried Neuro?  Is it sold near you?

Do you bobble? @waterbobble is a great way to look and stay cool and hydrated

I am slowly but surely turning to water more and more...
Not only is it much healthier for me to drink, it is also getting easier and easier for me as well.
What do I mean?
Well, it is hard to lug in bottles of water from the store with a toddler wanting to help.
Not to mention, all that plastic is really not good for the environment.
BUT, it is also hard to grab a PITCHER of water as you run out the door.

Where is all of this going?
Well, I recently had the opportunity to review a new line of water bottles...
It is a water bottle that filters the water... AS YOU DRINK IT.

You see, the spout that you drink out of also has a filter in it.
I am having a love hate with it at the time.
The bobble comes in several different sizes to make everyone look stylish :)
They have the 13 oz (I gave it to Broxton) the 18.5 oz and the 34 oz.  (Both of those are mine and they really are cute, at least in my opinion!)
I am always with one when we go in the car... Usually the 34 oz.... As you can fill it up anywhere!

The drawback to me is that it is a bit hard to drink out of.
I thought it was just me, but then I asked a couple friends that had them as well.
If you squeeze the bottle, it comes out just fine, but if not... you have to have a bit of power behind it.
Not really a big deal, but enough that I wanted to point it out to anyone interested in purchasing them.

I like that they are for purchase at Target, JCPenny and other retail stores near me!  I hate when I find a product only to learn it is online only... This way, you can run out and grab one...  (and then tell people about it as you are in the store... at least that is what I do!)

You literally fill it up... Tap water..
Then, when you are ready to drink...
Drink it and as it goes through the spout... It also goes through a FILTER.
End result... Filtering water bottle...Filtered Water... just for you.

Here are the three that I have:
Here is the bobble JUG.

Dr. Seuss's Lorax on Blu-Ray February14th

Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax is the classic TV special that tells the tale of how an enterprising but greedy villain named the Once-ler, strips a forest of its lush Truffula trees, bringing them to near extinction for the sake of profit.

The story begins with the Once-ler, a faceless businessman who lives alone in a sad, gray wasteland.  He recounts how he first became obsessed with the Truffula trees’ potential to make him rich and how the Lorax, an endearing and wise little forest creature, tried to warn him that his greed was making him crazy.

It’s the Lorax’s job to “speak for the trees,” the wondrous Truffulas, that make up the beautiful forest in which various wildlife live, including Brown Bar-ba-loots, the Swamee-Swans, the Humming-Fish and the Lorax himself. The Once-ler, bewitched by the beauty of the Truffulas, greedily chops them down so he can mass produce versatile garments, called “Thneeds” out of the Truffula’s colorful tufts. As the trees swiftly disappear, so do the Brown Bar-ba-loots, the Swamee-Swans and the Humming-Fish. The wise old Lorax continuously warns the Once-ler but his words of wisdom are for naught as the “Thneed” business booms and the Once-ler is blinded by greed. What will it take for the Once-ler to learn his lesson? Will the Truffula trees become extinct or is there hope for regeneration?

SuperTintin Helps Over 100 Military Families Remember The Love This Valentine’s Day
Skype Recording Software Provider SuperTintin Partners With Military Bloggers To Help Military Families Make Long Lasting Memories This February 14th and Beyond.

(February 6, 2012) - This Valentine’s Day, countless military families will turn to Skype to connect with their loved ones who are deployed over seas. Expressions of love will travel across the miles for a brief few moments via technology. And when done, the spouses and families at home will be able to remember those calls long after they’ve ended thanks to SuperTintin’s skype recording software and their special Valentine’s Day promotion.

Beginning on February 1st, 14 military bloggers from across the country (and even some stationed overseas) will be partnering with SuperTintin to give away over 100 skype recording licenses to military families. These bloggers know first hand the excitement of talking over skype with a spouse who is stationed away from home and the benefits of recording those conversations to share with their children, other family members, and friends.

As blogger “Mrs. S.” from the blog The Adventures of Mr. Superman and Mrs. S. puts it: “A way to record your loved ones face and voice so that you ALWAYS have the option to see them and hear them no matter how far away they are or how long its been since you've been able to make contact with one another. What a blessing!!”

Each of the bloggers participating in this campaign with SuperTintin have been given up to 8 licenses to give away to other military families. The majority of the over 100 licenses are available via giveaways on the partner’s blogs, although some have been given to military friends of the bloggers also.

Any member of the military or a military family member is eligible to enter for a chance to receive one of the licenses. They can enter on any or all of the following blogs:

SuperTintin is giving away over 100 licenses of their skype recording software to deserving military families. Family members can enter the giveaway at any of the above listed blogs by finding the specific SuperTintin Giveaway Post or contacting the blog author. The bloggers were first given the opportunity to share the free licenses with their military friends before posting to their blogs, so each blog may have a different number of licenses available to give away. Additionally, the bloggers themselves have set the parameters for their giveaway start and end dates, but all giveaways will end no later than February 12th so that the free licenses may be distributed in time for Valentine’s Day.
