Three Years Ago, I Was Terrified....

Image
Three Years Ago, I was terrified, beyond belief...  I was preparing to go to the hospital for Broxton to be born.  Marc was supposed to be flying home from deployment training... My brother, Ashton was headed to Atlanta to go with me to the hospital so I would not be alone...I tell you what, he might be my kid brother, but that meant the world to me, having him there... He came to our apartment.. then followed me to the hospital. I was checked into a room and he left to go get Marc from Marta...  My parents were driving up after work.  I was so excited, the fact of being a mom... But I have no shame admitting, I was terrified like you just do not know.. First time as a mom, also dealing with my husband deploying... (It would be my first deployment, not his...) I wanted to be the perfect wife and mom... but I was just scared... I remember that Marc had left for training and I was so worried...  I was worried he would miss ...

What's Your Number - Movie Night Review

Image
Anna Farris makes me laugh.  I find myself cracking up at her and I do not know of a movie with her in it that I have not enjoyed... (That I can remember.) I wanted to see What's Your Number, just because of her...  I knew it would be a funny one! The basis of the movie? Ally (played by Anna) reads a magazine article that tells her that women that have slept with 20 guys have already missed their "Mr. Right" so she starts to freak out.  It all happens as her sister is planning to marry the love of her life.  So, sure... the pressure is on, as she is the older sister! Ally starts trying to track down all of her past partners to see if one might be "the one." It doesn't help that she has a new neighbor, who seems to open the door to get the paper normally wearing nothing but a smile, is a single guy!  The neighbor is Chris Evans, I have never heard of him... but after looking him up on IMDB, he has been around for a bit, just not in movies I have seen. T...

Where DO You Put All of That?! @TheBuilderBag Review

Image
As a mom of a toddler, you can only imagine all the different toys and what not that we have.  From cars to trains, wrestlers to teddy bears.   We have shelves and bins, buckets and more...  I have recently learned of a great new item to help clean up time! It is the Builder Bag !   Simply put... Build and play, then stash it away! I love that... That's my tag line, thank you very much! :) We were lucky enough to receive an Avocado Builder Bag . (They also come in Orange and Sky Blue.) We opened it and Broxton was trying to figure out what was going on...  I showed him how he could play on it, or move it to the side, when playing elsewhere...  BUT, when it was Clean Up Time, they all went back in the bag...  Then, you pull the cord and hang the bag up! Our living room started off like this:  Trains and tracks everywhere...  Then, I pulled out the Builder Bag to show where the tracks would now go: ...

Stay Well. Stay Hydrated. For You. For Life... @Drinkneuro

Image
I admit that I read what the celebrities are up to... Yes, some would call me a junkie.  No, I don't stalk and no, I do not fall into all the crazes that they promote... BUT, I do get curious.   A while back, I saw all the buzz with celebrities was about this new drink, Neuro. I will tell you, I started looking for it...  I wanted to know what the big deal was. I never found it and I did not have the opportunity to review it... Until Now. I was recently sent several of the Neuro drinks  to try . First of all, the person in charge of their packaging is to be recommended. I notice the packaging of all things and it is very eye catching. The only bad thing about the bottles?  As soon as my toddler saw them, he immediately wanted me to drink "all of them now" so that he could use them for bowling!    Hey, at least we can recycle them into a fun game once we enjoy them. Now let me tell you this...  I was eager to try them all, but ...

Do you bobble? @waterbobble is a great way to look and stay cool and hydrated

Image
I am slowly but surely turning to water more and more... Not only is it much healthier for me to drink, it is also getting easier and easier for me as well. What do I mean? Well, it is hard to lug in bottles of water from the store with a toddler wanting to help. Not to mention, all that plastic is really not good for the environment. BUT, it is also hard to grab a PITCHER of water as you run out the door. So........ Where is all of this going? Well, I recently had the opportunity to review a new line of water bottles... It is a water bottle that filters the water... AS YOU DRINK IT. You see, the spout that you drink out of also has a filter in it. I am having a love hate with it at the time. The bobble comes in several different sizes to make everyone look stylish :) They have the 13 oz (I gave it to Broxton) the 18.5 oz and the 34 oz.  (Both of those are mine and they really are cute, at least in my opinion!) I am always with one when we go in the car... Usually th...

Dr. Seuss's Lorax on Blu-Ray February14th

Image
Dr. Seuss’s The  Lorax  is the classic TV special that tells the tale of how an enterprising but greedy villain named the Once-ler, strips a forest of its lush Truffula trees, bringing them to near extinction for the sake of profit.  The story begins with the Once-ler, a faceless businessman who lives alone in a sad, gray wasteland.  He recounts how he first became obsessed with the Truffula trees’ potential to make him rich and how the  Lorax , an endearing and wise little forest creature, tried to warn him that his greed was making him crazy.   It’s the  Lorax ’s job to “speak for the trees,” the wondrous Truffulas, that make up the beautiful forest in which various wildlife live, including Brown Bar-ba-loots, the Swamee-Swans, the Humming-Fish and the  Lorax  himself. The Once-ler, bewitched by the beauty of the Truffulas, greedily chops them down so he can mass produce versatile garments, called “Thneeds” out of the T...
