Elly and the Smelly Sneakers - (Would you choose Sneakers or Slippers?)

Image
Not all little girls want to wear dresses and play princess, I am learning that these days!  Savannah will just as soon grab her brothers cars, trains and army men to play with as fast as she will play with her barbies or dolls.  I don't force either on her and figure she can play with whatever makes her happy.  Another cute book arrived for us to review from Sterling Publishing and it keeps on with that theme for us. In a different take on the Cinderella Story we know, this one is opposite.  Elly and the Smelly Sneakers has us meet Elly...

Like I said,  Elly and the Smelly Sneakers by Leslie Gorin is a tale totally opposite of another "princess" we love.  I personally love Elly as she doesn't want to be …

What would you do if an alligator walked in your dance class?

Another awesome book we have had the pleasure to add to our rotation these days is Dance is for Everyone.  The funny thing about this is that Savannah LOVES to dance and starts moving as soon as she hears music.  ANYWHERE we are!  If we are in the car, she will call your name until you acknowledge that she is dancing there too!

In Dance is for Everyone by Andrea Zuill, we see a cute group of kids having fun time at dance class when an alligator shows up!  I mean, seriously, what would you do if an alligator showed up to YOUR DANCE CLASS?  The alligator doesn't speak, nor does it seem to understand them... but that reptile sure can follow along with the dance moves!

Savannah loved this book as well and was quick to p…

Mini Collection now available @HessToyTruck #hesstoytruck #2017MiniCollection

Image
A few years ago, we were introduced to the Hess Toy Truck Line.  Since then, we all seem to notice the Hess locations whenever we travel and everyone who sees their toy trucks go on and on about them.  Not only are they fun toys for the kids to play with, they are great to look at and are superior in the quality department.

The most recent one was offered for sale in 2014 but, after three years of fans sending a clear message that they want their mini toy truck back, Hess is heeding the call. Not only is Hess bringing back the Mini Hess Toy Truck, but they’re doin…

Ella Who? A great book on friendship (and listening!)

Summer slump happening yet?  Around here, we have books a' plenty to read and we have also been visiting the library each week!   While I do love that both my kiddo's love books, I am not all about Savannah having a book from the library yet, as she isn't the best with them.  (She either gets too excited turning the pages and messes them up, or she chomps on the board books like its a big candy bar... I can't win with that one these days!) We were recently sent a couple great books from Sterling Publishing and I wanted to share the first one with you now....
Ella Who is the title and it is super cute.  I know we will be reading it plenty of times, but down the road, it will be passed on to my sweet baby cousin that was recently born named Ella!
