When planning on kids going back to school, one thing is to always check on their wardrobe for the new school year.  Last year, we had a chance to work with French Toast in hosting a review... and I am so excited to get to host a review and giveaway this year! Let me tell you, the clothes that we received last year still look almost like new, so this is a brand that has stood the test of our house!   (We loved the shirts that we got last year so much that he wore one of them for his school photos! )  The great thing was that his Sunday School teacher asked what brand he was wearing, since it looked so great on him and when I said French Toast, she was quick to tell me that she was familiar with that brand from when h

I actually went and made Broxton a sticker book, since he had so many...  and he loves getting them! Lately I have been seeing more of a "themed" sticker book versus the 3 ring binder type from my days...  The newest to us?  Disney has released Minnie's Bow-Tastic Sticker Collection... and Sofia's Royal Sticker Collection!  In the Minnie book, we are just in time for the Grand Opening of Minnie's Bow-tique! The pages have places for you to place the stickers of the characters being discussed... Such as Daisy, Figaro, Clarabelle and others!   As the grand opening happens, we get to see the Fashion Show with

Now that summer is closing on us, that doesn't mean that the scents of summer can't be with you throughout the year to enjoy!   Good Earth Beauty has a scent, Coconut Lime, that immediately takes my imagination (and senses) to a beach with the water splashing and the sun shining!    I was sent the Restorative Shampoo to review and I  definitely  fell in love with it.  At $15 for a bottle, I did not use it each time I washed my hair (I chose to rotate it in and out with other products.) I loved the way it left my hair feeling and smelling. This would be a great addition to any care packages you may be sending to a loved one away at school. This also comes in conditioner, so it would make a great gift idea f

You know the old saying, "You Learn Something New Every Day?"  Well, it seems to be more and more true for me as the days go on...  This Sunday is Grandparents Day and to be honest, I just presumed that Grandparents day had been around for ages...  Well, throw in the "learn something new" and here you go: Grandparents Day did not become official until 1979 -- meaning that I have been around for each of them! Whew, glad to know I did not miss any!  Seriously though... It became official in 1979 and it is designated to be honored on the first Sunday in September, after Labor day!   The cool thing I learned was that the FORGET-ME-NOT is the official flower for Grandparents Day! (After looking it up,

A new back to school snack for us has been the Oat bars from Bobo's Oat Bars.  I was excited that they sent us a few different to try and I have enjoyed them more than anyone else.  I thought that my favorite would be the Peanut Butter and Jelly, but as soon as I tried the Apple Pie, I knew I was hooked!    We were sent Bobo's Oat Bars in Original, Peanut Butter & Jelly and even Apple Pie.  Make sure you visit the store locator to see where you can purchase these near you!  Each bite is individually wrapped (and labeled, so you can throw them in a bowl or container for easy access!)  I love that each one I have had has been just as moist and tasteful as the first one I ever tried!   The size of the

Over the summer, I was able to let Broxton experience something pretty neat.   We had recently seen Planes - Fire and Rescue, so he was still all excited about seeing Dusty CropHopper on the big screen again... but then my dad A.K.A. "Papa"  was able to allow Broxton (and one of his big brothers) to have a summer to remember!!!!! In Albany, Georgia, there is a company there that has been around for over 40 years, THRUSH AIRCRAFT ... and they specialize in making agricultural aircraft  A.K.A. Crop Dusters a.k.a. other "Dusty CropHoppers" for those of you with younger children!!!   When we walked in, I am not really sure what I was expecting to see, but I was blown away with being impressed, that was for certain! There was this huge hangar/warehouse whatever you want to call it that had the assembly lineS going producing different things, but we just sort of walked by there... That was when we entered the area that made Broxton's face light up!  I thought there

F is for Feelings is a great book that we recently received for review.  Free Spirit Publishing has pulled through again and I think that this is a perfect book for my son as he is just starting Kindergarten. Why now?  Well, he is still coming into his own person... even more so now that he has started "big kid school"  and it actually has opened up conversation for us. F for Feelings goes through the entire alphabet and gives a colorful illustration of the feeling being discussed.  Each feeling comes with one or two sentences to explain the feeling... "A is for AFRAID.  I am scared."    - We were able to talk about when he was afraid and how that feeling moved into another feeling... Bei

Everything seems to be a struggle around here lately, so I am always up for great suggestions!  Since Broxton has started kindergarten, each day is new as to his likes and dislikes and I have to just sort of  go with the fact that he is really becoming his own person. One thing that also changes? His hunger... Some days he walks in "starving to death" as he says... and other days he is " still really full" and doesn't want to eat.  I have several varieties of snacks and treats so that leaves an endless opportunity for him to snack if need be.  I was excited to learn about Dick & Jane Educational Snacks and was eager to see how Broxton would like them.   Dick & Jane Education Sna
