Leading the Way With Gillette Flexball - #SmoothSummer #Shop

Image
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser.  All opinions are mine alone. As most of you know, Marc is Army, so that means a clean shave is a normal thing around our house.  Luckily, he is now National Guard, so it isn't an every day thing... But still... When it is time to shave , it is time to take care of your face and shave right, right? That means a trip to Wal-Mart is planned...   Luckily for me, they had the Gillette Flexball on the end cap, so it made for easy locating, but other razors aren't so lucky!   I was lucky enough to surprise Marc with the latest Gillette Flexball Razor, working with #CollectiveBias  and let me tell you this... I thought Broxton was going to fall out from excitement!  He kept saying/yelling "I can't BELIEVE you got dad a flexball!  I saw that on a commercial!" (I can't believe he did not know they were at Wal-mart, since we go there often and if you ask him... EVERYTHING is ...

FTC Compliant Review Policy: The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. When I first heard of Daddy Scrubs , I thought it was going to only sell scrubs for new dads.  Little did I know that they have so much more...  Let me start by saying, if you are looking to get a one of a kind gift for a new dad, head on over and see what all they have to offer...  From scrubs (of course!)  to hats and t-shirts that announce " I'm the Daddy!"  to books and diaper bags...  They have cute ties, tumblers, coffee mugs... Basically anything to get the new daddy in your life.  (If you think about it.. mom and baby get most of the gifts, why not treat daddy too?!)   Well, when I saw something ELSE that Daddy Scrubs had...  I knew that I really wa...

Building and Growing @Lowes With Daddy

Image
My blogger friend Alissa at Planet of the Apels has blogged numerous times about the Lowes Build and Grow events. They take their boys there and we decided to check it out... Image Credit: Lowes Lowe's Build and Grow is really impressive to me. It is basically a fun time for the kids and their parent (or other guardian) to enjoy time together... and they also get to work on a project and have something to show for it. Broxton was able to go with Marc to one of them.  They worked together and built the sled from Rise of the Guardians.  It was funny, as Broxton keeps saying he wants to see this movie and then they built that... so he knew what he was doing, from the previews of the movie he keeps seeing. That particular Lowe's had a decent turnout.  They had everyone at a couple tables over in a side aisle.  There were several moms there with their kids... and also dads there with their kids as well. Broxton was given a pair of safety goggles and an ap...

Daddy and Me Fun Facts from Ice Age

Image
Ice Age: Continental Drift is such a great movie...   We have really enjoyed it and we can even talk daddy into watching it with us! With that being said, I wanted to share with you a post about "daddy and me" time events! Go to the Movies  The movies are a fun outing for any day of the week. Choose a new movie that interests you both, or check out a theater that plays classic family favorites. Depending on the time of the movie, you can go to lunch, dinner, or dessert afterwards to talk about your favorite characters. Camping Camping is a great way to take a break from everyday distractions like texting and Facebook and enjoy the great outdoors instead.  It provides the perfect opportunity to teach your daughter how to pitch a tent and start a fire. Many campgrounds also offer great hiking trails and rentals of canoes and paddleboats if near a lake. DIY Project Everyone has a creative side and a DIY project is perfect for showing it off. You can try a large p...

Carving Pumpkins 101

Image
Are you ready for Halloween? Broxton has been seeing Caillou talk about Halloween and now that is all he says.. "Trick or Treat" "Halloween" over and over.. Marc has always loved carving pumpkins and last year he and Broxton worked on one together. I guess this is a tradition that they will have each year. With such a creative tradition, we need the proper tools! Did you know that Pumpkin Masters has been at it for a bit and is celebrating 25 years?! To celebrate their 25 th Anniversary, Pumpkin Masters introduced a couple new items to their lineup and we were lucky enough to get to review them!!!! To start with, we opened up the All In One Carving Kit. This has the poker, the scooper, the cutter, crayon, stickers a light and patterns!!! They weren't lying when they said all in one!!!! Marc and Broxton started working on the pumpkin: Broxton helped daddy scoop it all out: While they worked on that, I started looking for a fun pattern for them to work on....

Wordless Wednesday - Silly Daddy!

Image
So, the other day, I went in to check on Broxton during naptime... This was what I found: Sweet sleeping boy, right? Look closer... Okay, let me back it up a bit for you... Can you see now? Daddy had made his bed into a tent!!! LoL, yes!!!! He tied the blanket up top of the bed so that Broxton was sleeping in a tent!!!! Silly boys!!!!

Parking in Egypt

I have been driving my dad's car for a while now. You see, I needed to borrow it when we got the boys(more room) and remember my car seat ordeal??? Well, we ended up having my cousins husband install the car seat. (No lie, he is an engineer...) He installed it for me in my dads car and I have just not had the energy, nor desire, to try and figure out how to install it back in my car again. BUT, I am ready for it to be back in mine. I have a question for you... When you go to the store... Where do you park? Do you grab the first one you come to? Or do you ride around, circling the parking lot waiting for something to come closer? Or, are you like... MY DAD? He parks so far out... I mean, if I wanted to exercise, I would go to the gym or something, but not him... I think guys like him are why men started dropping women off at the door so they could park. Just to not listen to us complain about how long of a walk it is. When you go with my dad, plan on taking a bottle of water,...

Still learning

Today was a good day! Let me tell you how it started.. Broxton woke up around 6:45-7:00 We got up and played, ate breakfast and played some more! Then it was time for a quick nap before we went to get the 6 month picture taken. Well, I was rocking Broxton to get him to take his nap (he FIGHTS SLEEP like nothing I have ever seen!) In the middle of rocking him, he let out the LOUDEST BURP... At that point, all the food he has EVER eaten in his WHOLE LIFE came out.. ALL OVER ME! I mean, EVERYWHERE! All in my hair, all over my shirt, all DOWN my shirt.. NASTY! Okay, forget this! Time to get another shower! I put him in the living room and went to get a quick shower, time was starting to run out of naptime before the pictures! I got a quick shower and then he took a nap... A whole 30 minutes! Yeah, so we went to SEARS, I have to say, Amber takes his pictures and she is GREAT! I spent more money than I wanted (as always!) We came home for lunch... Then we went to go to Wal...
