Get Ready To Laugh! Raising Hope Season One DVD Out 9/20

Please tell me that you have heard of this show...
Raising Hope?
It comes on after Glee and I have to tell you, it is HILARIOUS!!!!

Marc and I watched it the first night it came on and we tried to watch it every single week.
It was one of our "must see" shows. We would literally crack up laughing for the entire show.

Long story short, Jimmy (the son, bottom guy in the DVD cover) has a one night hook up with this chic and the next morning, they see her on the news WANTED FOR MURDER. While in jail, she contacts Jimmy to let him know she is pregnant and he is the father. He ends up getting her and names her "Hope," hence the name of the show!

The series shows how he struggles with raising a daughter, while he is still just a kid himself.
While dealing with being a first time dad, he is lucky enough to have the help of his parents, as he still lives at home. You can not beat watching Martha Plimpton and Garret Dillahunt as the grandparents of Hope! They are just too funny!!!! Oh, if you really want a laugh, you add in Maw-Maw, Cloris Leachman! Now that is for a crazy and hysterical cast!!!

As soon as we watched the episode where they try to have a family photo shoot, I immediately thought of my family and I laughed so hard... Even having to call my dad and tell him about it... Luckily for me, he had seen parts of that episode, so he knew just what I meant!!!

If you are looking for a great DVD to add to your library...
Raising Hope Season One is a for sure MUST HAVE!!!!

Also, just to remind you all..
Season Two starts tonight, on FOX!
Make sure to watch, as it is bound to be great!!!!

Just one more reason to laugh:
The mom of "Hope" wanted to name her "Princess Beyonce!"
Tell me that isn't funny...
In kicking off the arrival of Season One on DVD, Fox listed a few other "unusual" names for us to think about...

Princess Beyonce is a pretty great name, but we can see why the family changed her name to Hope. We love unusual and fantastical names…from Apple to Pilot Inspektor, here are our top 10 unusual celebrity baby names complete with origin, background and meanings!

Moon Unit
With siblings, Dweezil, Ahmet and Diva, you know father Frank Zappa had out-of-this-world expectations for his daughter. This original name means “one that orbits the moon”.

Pilot Inspektor
Jason Lee and Beth Riesgraf were inspired by the Grandaddy single, “He’s Simple, He’s Dumb, He’s The Pilot” enough to name their song after the tune.

Sage Moonblood
Sylvester Stallone gave his son this name that alludes to and mystical forces and wisdom, and must have fueled Sage’s creative side as he is an actor, producer, writer and director.

Fifi Trixibelle
Paula Yates and Bob Geldof named their daughter after Bob’s aunt Fifi and Paula wanted a “belle” in the family. Her siblings, Little Pixie, Peaches Honeyblossom and Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily all enjoy just as exciting given names.

Moxie CrimeFighter
Comedian Penn Jillette named his daughter after the beverage Moxie, and CrimeFighter is derived from a line from one of his books. The legacy will live on!

Gweyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin decided to name their daughter after a fruit because of the inherent sweetness, cleanliness and the lovely images the word conjures up in their minds.

Jazz Domino
Daughter of The Clash front man, Joe Strummer, Jazz is a proud feminist who loves crafting and was recently featured in Bust Magazine!

Petal Blossom Rainbow
Jamie Oliver and Jools kept the trend going after naming their first two daughters Poppy Honey and Daisy Boo. Petal fits in with the floral themes; Blossom is “fresh”, while Rainbow is truly a “symbol of hope”.

An heir to the Jackson kingdom, Jermaine’s youngest son will certainly be held in illustrious pop culture regard.

What did you do last night? Monday's NEW shows

When I used to work, it was mainly nights...
Think about it, I worked in a restaurant for 10 years...
So, during that time, my television was minimal.
But, since Broxton was born (and I have been lucky enough to be able to stay home, so far... )
I am really trying to make up for lost time!
HA! Ha! Ha! HA!

I was so excited for the new season of Two and a Half Men...
For several reasons, I LOVE watching the reruns, as I am constantly laughing at what they are doing... I still do not know who I find myself laughing at the most, but I think it is Bertha. Anyways, between already being a fan... and wanting to see how the new season would start...
I was ready! I am serious! I had a post it note on my desk reminding me when it started, I set the reminder on the television... and I was ready!

If you have not seen it and want to, I suggest no longer reading this post, as I am totally talking about it all... so, major spoilers!

When it opened, it was just as we all had known... Charlie is dead.
Of course, we had already heard that ALL of his ex girlfriends through the years would be there. (Well, most, as Denise Richards said nope, she wasn't going to do it.) Then there was Rose.
Now that crazy stalker cracks me up! When she got up to speak, I was totally surprised at how Charlie died. (You have to watch to see, can not really give it all away!)
But the best part of the night to me was when the house was for sale and the two potential buyers came in.
I caught myself saying "NO way" as John Stamos came in... (Remember, it was rumored he was taking Charlies part.) Then, Dharma and Greg! I loved seeing them, but did not like how they acted towards one another, it was not the fun loving D&G from when I watched... But it was neat that Chuck Lorre had them on here, as he was also over that show too!
I was still waiting to see how the whole Ashton Kutcher being the new owner of the house was going to play out, and I loved how it worked out!!!
Long story short, he turns to Allan for relationship advice, (it was so funny to see the two of them at the bar) and in the end, Allan is once again left to be alone while the new "leading man" hooks up with two girls!
I can not wait to see how the season unfolds and how the chemistry with all of them works out, but as of last night... I think it is going to be great!!!

Now this one looked funny to me, as I used to be a server and I wanted to see what this was going to be about...
The story line on this was that a rich chic from New York ends up broke, with no trust fund or anything and picks a job somewhere that her rich friends would never see her...
She ends up in a diner working and the "other broke girl" is the girl that will be her trainer.
I was cracking up laughing at the honesty that Max (Kat Dennings) shares while working...
In the first couple minutes of the whole show, she is interacting with customers the way that some servers really want to do!!!!
It was great. Then she meets Caroline (newcomer Beth Behrs) the rich turned poor girl.
It is quickly learned that Caroline has never worked before... her "marrying the ketchup" was a classic! Although they do not hit it off to begin with, you can tell that Max isn't one to open up to many people... They eventually realize that they can be great friends and although they are both "poor girls" with barely enough money to survive, they realize with the potential they both have, they can really see themselves going places.
This is a show that I want to see how it develops. I loved the humor in it last night, so I can not wait to see what next week brings...
(I will warn, the humor can be seen as a bit "harsh" to some ... Just so you know.)

So, did you watch anything good last night?
What did you think?
I am excited to see what all comes on tonight!
I am loving this new lineup!!!!

***** I planned on blogging about the shows for Premier week already... Lucky for me, I am now entered into a contest to win a prize for my thoughts. *****

Back to School with T.J.Maxx

When I think of back to school shopping, I immediately start thinking of what all we need.
One thing, clothes!!!

I hate to admit it, but I never thought about T.J.Maxx and Marshalls carrying more than clothes!
I did not know that they had book bags and lunchboxes!

I was able to join up with the campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of T.J.Maxx and Marshalls to go and see what I could find.

I decided that we would check out T.J.Maxx, as I had not been to this one yet.
I first of all went to the infant/toddler section.
I guess it was out of habit, as I knew that I was there to get clothes for the older boys.
The clothes and prices for Broxton was great!
They had the outfit sets (I love those, as it makes it easier for Marc to dress him when they are like that! LoL!)
They had adorable pajama's and a decent selection of toys!!!

Then, I snapped out of it (remembering Marc was in the car... he is NOT a shopper!) and we headed to the older kids area.
Well, let me back track.
We headed to the mens clothing area!

I knew that most of all, I wanted to look at getting them jeans.
That is one thing they seem to never have enough of, as they are growing boys that play hard!
Sure enough, they had tons of jeans to choose from and I decided that we would go with Levi's.
Levi's have been around forever and are a great quality in my opinion.
Not to mention at around $15 a pair, I could not beat the price!!!

I grabbed a pair for each of the boys, but I did still want to look a bit.
I also saw that they carried Calvin Klein jeans!
They had polo brand shirts at discounted prices!
(Also, knowing me... I loved looking at the MSRP prices around $35 and then the T.J.Maxx prices of $12!!! Sure made me smile, knowing the savings that they have there!!!!)

Broxton spotted a Thomas the Train Lunch Tote, so we went over to look at it... and all the other ones that they had for older kids!
It was only around $7.
Now, if Broxton was in school, or even needed this at all, I would have grabbed it at that price, but who knows, by the time he is in school, Thomas might not be what interests him then!
I did wander over to the book bags just to look at the prices.
$10. Yes, only $10.
They had plain ones and designed ones, as well as those with characters!
(This picture is just one area, they still had more racks of them!)

I will for sure keep T.J.Maxx in mind next time we go shopping!

If you would like to enter to win a gift card to help with your shopping, just click here to check out this contest!!!!

Henry's Crime - DVD Review

I just finished watching Henry's Crime and I have to say, it was alright...
I guess on my parents scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best, I would give it a 7.
Have you heard of this movie yet?
I never really saw anything advertising for it and I sort of wonder why.

Henry's Crime is about Henry (you think?) and his crime (really?!)
Anyways, Henry is working as a toll booth worker that really seems pretty miserable with his life..
Then, one day, he gets arrested for robbing a bank.
Well, being the "good guy" that he is... He doesn't tell on his friends, but rather goes to prison to pay for a crime he didn't commit.
(I personally think he used that as his excuse to get out of his miserable marriage, tell me what you think.)

While in jail, he becomes friends with his cellmate... and once out, sets out to find his "dream" (that was a question asked to him from his cellmate)
Come to find out... His "dream" is to rob the bank that he already supposedly robbed...
Not the smartest move in my opinion..
But hey, it made for a good movie.

If you are a fan of movies with Keanu Reeves or James Caan, you should totally check this out!
I will warn you , it is rated R.
That being said, the F-Bomb is used a pretty good amount...
