Fun night with the @BiloxiShuckers

Image
Life has been pretty hectic lately around here. (Saving that for another day!)  I just wanted to recap about an amazing time we had over summer break and share a bit with you.  If you have been here for a while, you might know that we love Biloxi, Mississippi. In 2015, they went and upped their game, bringing in a Minor League Ball team!  (See what I did there?) You read that right, they now have a baseball team!  Last year, we were not able to make it to a game, so when we planned our summer trip for this year, we planned it based on their home schedule and I am so glad we did! FTC Compliant Review Policy:  We were given complimentary tickets.  I was not required to post this, but I did want to share.   When we got to Biloxi, we came right in time for bad weather. It ended up changing our plans some, but it all worked out for the best and we made the most of it!  We were able to make it to a Friday night game and the tickets we were given w...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. As much as I love reading books with Broxton, it is also fun to get the Sports Illustrated for Kids Books that has fun information.  These books are not only fun for Broxton to learn cool sports facts, it is also fun for us to read and the boys enjoy them as well.  When the Big Book of Who All-Stars book showed up, I was eager to see how much Sports Knowledge the guys in my life knew... This book says " THE 101 ATHLETES EVER FAN NEEDS TO KNOW." The contents inside?   Baseball, Basketball, Football, Golf, Hockey, Olympics, Racing, Soccer, Tennis and Xtreme. Up first?  I flipped over to GOLF and called up my brother to see if he knew all the answers.... A sample question: "Who is the golfer with t...

Dreaming of that Home Run

As I mentioned, Summer has been BUSY for us! But, we love it!   I did want to share a few highlights from the end of the school year / start of summer. Broxton had his last day of preschool.... Yep, Mama teared up a bit... I did not cry as hard as I thought I would, but I think it was because I was blessed with my phone ringing right as I walked out and that stopped the tears from flowing.  It is so hard to imagine that he has just finished preschool and that my little one will be starting Kindergarten in the new year! Where does the time go?  Mama's with little ones - take note... IT FLIES!   Broxton walking in on the last day of school.   I thought it was so cute... They actually had a preschool graduation.  They made the kids shirts and that was their graduation outfit... Then, they sang a couple of songs and then they were presented with a "certificate" for graduation!   I was a bit emotional then, but it got me when we heard around fifty 4...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. You know how much we love the TeenyMates toys.  Broxton has them and loves playing with them... and I love that they are teeny and so cute.   They now have TeenyMates Baseball figures (that come with the random puzzle pieces - collect them all to make the puzzle!)   I don't know it it is because he just loves the TeenyMates, or if it is because he is playing baseball this year... It might even be because he got to go to his first Baseball game, no matter what the reason was... When he saw that the Easter Bunny left him a couple eggs with Teeny Mates in them, he IMMEDIATELY had to get them out and start playing with them.. They even beat out the other toys in the basket!!!!   All I know i...

Do you love baseball?  We love all sports here,  but Marc is a huge fan! When I opened up our package and saw that we had just received Sports Illustrated Kids: Full Count , I knew that he would be eager to read it...  Little did I know that I would too! This is a great book that is full of Top 10's of baseball... From Mascots to Rivals...  to Ugliest Uniforms and most unusual windups!  This is a book for those that love baseball and for those that love baseball to share with those that might still be on the fence as to if they are fans or not!  I actually took this with me to read while I waited for Broxton in carpool.  I learned so much and really enjoyed not only looking at the pictures, but about the sport of "America's Pastime!" I really think that boys and girls, men and women... All ages would really enjoy reading this!!!!
