We have not watched a video yet ( not been on our best behavior yet, so we are working on not talking as much and listening more!)  but I did want to go ahead and share with you a great idea for a budding artist in your life!   With Valentines around the corner, you could give the gift of drawing and skip the candy this year, if you are one to give gifts for that special day!  I think this would be fun and since it is geared for kids 5-9, I know when we do break it out, we will have an awesome time!  Hosted by former Disney illustrator Mark Marderosian, the critically-acclaimed, nationally broadcast, multi-award winning series teaches kids of all ages how to draw, while also taking them on ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. While Broxton and Marc are fans of Tom (Marc thinks they don't show Spike enough, as that is really his favorite) I personally love Jerry. Maybe it is just because he is so little and cute, but he is adorable to me.  No, I don't want him moving in or anything, but he is cute to watch on TV! Broxton really enjoys watching this show, especially with his daddy, but let me tell you what we learned in Kindergarten this year... You aren't allowed to wear cartoon shirts if you want to fit in with some of the cool kids...  His was a vintage one, but we had a big discussion about wearing what you want and liking what you want.  Either way, that is here nor there, I just wanted to tell you that The Tom and Jerry ...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. As many of you know, I love reading and love sharing the gift of books with Broxton.  I think books are great and are a great way to escape, explore and imagine!   We love reading together and we were lucky enough to be chosen to help with the release of the movie, The Book Of Life, in celebrating National Reading Day on January 23rd.    What does it mean to celebrate National Reading Day? Well, for us, we had a friend meet us and he and Broxton worked on making their own Book of Life Books!  We were sent a great assortment of products from the Book of Life, including a sketch pad, crayons, color pencils, stencils, rulers, stickers and even book bags!  Another awesome thing......

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. With the new year, we get new books to share with you!   Between Broxton having to read for school, us wanting him to read in general, a couple reading challenges here and there, I am determined to make this happen!    He loves when I read to him and will sit and listen to several books.  I try and take advantage of this, as soon enough, he will be too grown to enjoy this time together!   As a Parragon Book Buddy, I was sent two new books for January and I wanted to let you know about them.   Image Credit - Amazon Muddypaws' Day at the Farm:  Broxton wants a dog so bad he can't stand it, but we have told him until he can keep the toys (mostly Lego, lego and more lego...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation. Seems like Dora is a cartoon that everyone loves!  Myself included!  Broxton never really got into Diego, but there is something about Dora and Boots, he just loves them!  I know most parents are like "Dora is a *girls* show" but for me, it is much more than that.  Dora teaches him about life and it is an added bonus to let him pick up the bits of Spanish while watching!  I see nothing wrong with it and it is better than some other programs out there right now! If you have a Dora fan, make sure you check out the 2 DVD Gift Set - Mermaid Adventures, perfect for those longing for summertime!   Join Dora on her greatest underwater adventures in the 2-disc DVD collection,  Dora ...
