Pigtails and Crewcuts - Broxton's haircut!

I am not sure if you remember when I asked about when you gave your child their first haircut...
My family (southern tradition, I do not know... ) always waits until their first birthday...
So, we waited...
And sure enough, on his first birthday, we went and got his haircut.
Of course, that meant Daddy would miss it...

SO, once daddy came home...
We got settled into our new place...
and I googled fun places for children's haircuts.

It pulled up the site for Pigtails and Crewcuts and we went to check it out...

This place is just so cute!

You walk in and they have 2 "waiting" rooms set up..
A TV is in there playing a movie and they have TONS of toys for the child to play with while they wait their turn.

Once it is your turn, you pick the chair you want to sit in....

While they get their haircut, they have movies up on flat screens so that they have something to watch...
Broxton cared less about the movie... and if you notice, he did NOT like the cape, so we said forget it... We are going home anyways, just cut it and we will worry about the clothes later...
LOL, look at all the hair!

Mrs. TJ was so nice and so very patient with Broxton...
He is starting to look like a big boy!
Where did the time go?

I tried to get a picture to show you all the stuff they have for sale as well...
They have toys, hair and nail products...
I mean, for children, this is "the real deal"

Mrs. TJ even gave him a cookie while she was finishing up!
Just look at my BIG BOY!!!

If you want to check them out...
Look and see if they have a location near you!!!!

Oh yeah... forgot to tell you...
You can even have a birthday party for your little one there...

  3. He is adorable!

I waited until my son was 17 months to get his cut. I would have waited until his first b-day also, but my mother wanted to plait his hair too so after we visited with her, and came home, then I had it cut.

That place is so stinking cute!

I cannot believe how big Broxton is getting and I am so glad that you waited until Mark was home to give him the haircut, it is such a magical experience.

  7. That looks like a very kid friendly place-lots of ways to distract kids while they get their hair cut. Years ago when my brother was very young, my mom took him to get his hair cut at a hair cutting school. There were mannequin heads sitting on a table and my brother thought they were going to cut his head off and replace it with a mannequin head!! I guess they had quite a time trying to cut my brother's hair and the teacher of this school ending up having to do the hair cut!
