Robert Piguet Fragrances #Review #Ad

I will be the first to admit that I am the last one to know fashion... and all things "girly."  I don't wear much makeup - just weddings and events when I need to get dressed up.  I go for more casual than attention grabbing... but I do love perfume.  I have tried a few of those "clubs" but have had no luck.  Let me tell you this... I am not a fan of going and sniffing a ton of scents either...  Having said that... I DO NOT want to waste money on perfume and not like it.  I mean, that stuff is not cheap!  I bought one that I had to spray like half a bottle on me to even smell once.  not a fan.  So when I had the chance to check out Robert Piguet, I was excited.  What excited me the most was that they had a sampler set.  Again, you don't want to go buying something and not like it.  I did see they had a gardenia scent and I hate that it wasn't included in the sampler, but it is what it is!  I have tried a few of the scents and I have to admit that it is more of a sophisticated smell than what I wear.  Maybe I will wear them to a wedding weekend we have coming up, but as far as an every day scent, this just isn't my style.  For that, I am glad that they have the sampler to check out!

Five of our most enticing scents presented in 2.5 ml samplers. Housed in a chic pull-out coffret, L' Expérience Piguet is the most exciting way to dip your toes into the incredible world of this niche fragrance brand legend. Fragrances include Fracas, Casbah, V (formerly Visa), Oud Délice and Notes.

A little about Robert Piguet (from their website:)
But while Piguet’s impact on fashion is indisputable, it is his fragrance legacy that has made him legendary. Working with perfumer Germaine Cellier in the late ‘40s, it was Piguet’s Bandit and Fracas that acted as the watershed to a new era in perfumery. These were said to “have a particular feel very characteristic of his trademarks: Strict adherence to good taste, true luxury, a horror of the commonplace and an innate sense of seduction.”

The scents included in the Discovery Sampler:

FRACAS:
With unmistakable and unrivaled opulent tuberose and jasmine accords, this lush and creamy concoction clings to a woman’s skin and warms with her unique chemistry. Unlike many traditional white florals, Fracas is dark and luscious. Rich accents of sandalwood and delicate musk enhance the brilliance and complexity.

CASBAH:
Intriguing yet elegant, Casbah has plenty of secrets and surprises. The warm whispers of black pepper and nutmeg introduce the delicate green melody of angelica root. The effervescent opening then softens into a heart of iris embraced by tobacco leaves. Cedarwood provides a polished backdrop for the intricate, smoky floral accord, while incense intertwined with salty vetiver delivers a smooth, silky finale.

V:
V de Robert Piguet opens with an initial exotic sweetness of ylang-ylang that embraces luscious bergamot and pear. Sumptuous layers of rose, white peach and cinnamon unfold in the warm heart, hinting at the scent’s sultry demeanor. In an unforgettable finale, the juxtaposition of milky sandalwood and gourmand leather evokes a tempting delicacy.

Oud Délice:
From its bright beginning, Oud Délice creates a mouthwatering effect with caramelized amber, miel de Provence and fig. The luscious palette then lingers into oud Piguet a proprietary blend of resins and woods. Indonesian patchouli and Haitian vetiver lay a warm path to the scent’s foundation — an exotic recipe for yearning.

Notes:
The high-pitched prelude of bergamot and clary sage sets the stage for the gentle aria of orange flower and geranium. The exhilarating start leads to the sonorous timbre of oakmoss and tonka bean. The dark tones of costus further deepen the composition, while the green clarity of vetiver lends it an elegant counterpoint. Warm and luxurious, Notes de Robert Piguet is a symphony of sensations.
