MixBook Photo Co - Review

 If you know me AT ALL - you know I absolutely LOVE photos!  I was the one walking around with a camera in highschool... way before digital cameras and cell phones!  I have so many photos and you better believe I have tons of photo albums.  The hard thing about cell phones and photos is that I have a very hard time deleting them once I print.  I know I should delete some, to clear out space.. but I love looking back at them!  The weird thing? I read that they said this generation is THE MOST PHOTOGRAPHED generation, but also the one generation that has the least amount of PRINTED photos.  ** Not in our house, I will print those jokers in a heartbeat!  The thing is, I had the chance to review MIXBOOK and make a photo album out of my own photos, so that saved me the trouble of printing and adding to an actual album!

I chose to make my book to be a memory book from our family trip to the beach!  The book was so easy to make!  You could use as few or as many pictures as you wanted and the layout was completely up to you!  I love that they are the same size - so when you put them on your bookshelf they are all nice and neat and not a cluster of different sizes!  

The only thing I wasn't a fan of, was that I did not see how you could put wording on the binding of the book.  I will be honest, I did not pay that much attention when I was making the books, so in their defense, it might be on the website, plain as day... but when I got the books and went to put them on my bookshelf, I was like, "dang... sure wish I had something on the binder, be it the place we went or at least the year!"  Lesson learned, as I will look for that feature when I make another one!  

The books turned out great, the quality of the prints were nice and they have held up to us flipping through at the photos... so far so good!  This would be great to do of the kids each year - maybe a year in review? Or make one each year for their sports... could be a great gift to give them when they grow up or to give to family and friends each year to look back on!  As you try and think about a one of a kind gift this year, make sure to keep MIXBOOK in mind for the perfect and easy gift!
