Great times at #HarryPotterExhibition #Review

We are finally at the stage now where Savannah loves Harry Potter!  She was into it a bit last year and we started watching the movies, but then "life" happens and it kind of got pushed to the side... We started it back up again recently... I had originally asked friends for the DVD's to borrow - and I did not realize how many HP fans are out there - but I spotted a deal online and we ended up buying the set.  Anyways, don't judge... better late than never, right?   So, after finally getting into the whole magic of Harry Potter, when I realized the Harry Potter Exhibition was still in Atlanta, I was so excited to be able to make a trip out of it and go check it out...

We drove up to see Harry Potter- in our BRAND NEW Hogwarts shirts... You know we had to do it.  I was surprised that BOTH kids agreed to this idea of mine, but sure enough... they did, so you know it made this mama heart HAPPY!

We got there and they had to get their pictures by the house that they claim...
Not a surprise when Broxton chose Slytherins... and honestly, I wasn't shocked with Savannah choosing Griffindor...  (We ended up taking the online test and once she was Ravenclaw and the other Hufflepuff, JUST LIKE HER MAMA!)

We were lucky enough to have some friends drive up to meet us and go as well, so it was a great time.  Their daughter (in her 20's) is a HUGE Harry Potter fan - owns the robes and wands and all... so she was thrilled about the surprise trip... and her parents were there because how often can you take your 20 something out for a trip like this and let us ALL experience the magic of it together?

I was not 100% sure what to expect, but let me tell you... It did NOT disappoint!
When you enter, they have a nice set up and a place for a family photo to mark the occasion - you can purchase the background of your choice and all that good stuff on the way out... You then register your band to you and then you have at it.

As you walk around, the experience is so fun! You have interactive things where you tap your band and do things to earn points for your house... There are so many photo opportunities... and then the wardrobes... Oh my gosh!!! It was so cool looking at some of the actual wardrobes from the movies!
I did notice that not only was I taking pictures, our whole group was... Well, minus Savannah because she doesn't have a phone yet - but I can guarantee that if she owned her own phone, she would have been all up in the mix taking every picture you could think of.   We had a great time there that day, I think we were there for a few hours!  You can take your time and go at your own pace, so that was great!  Of course when you head out, you have a gift shop to purchase ANYTHING you can possibly think of.  We left with a Christmas Ornament, a set of magnets and of COURSE - BUTTER BEER!  (They also have a place there for food and drinks, but we had to get on the road!)
Have you been????

Make sure to check out Harry Potter: The Exhibition when it is near you!  I heard they extended the Atlanta dates to have it open until April 16, 2023.  They also just announced it will be heading to New York City next, so make sure to catch it while you can!
