It's Been A Bit - Holiday Inn Resorts Orlando Suites

Hey yall...
I know it has been a bit since I posted, but that is because "life has been lifing"
You know, the good and the bad... but I wanted to share something with you all.
** NO, this is not a sponsored post, but I thought it was worth sharing.**

Recently, we decided to take the kids on a vacation to Orlando, Florida.
Of course, we really wanted to do it big and hit the theme parks, but again - LIFE- so we made the best out of it and I think that we did a really good job.

We ended up doing a good amount of research before we decided on a hotel and I am so happy with the one we went with.  That being said, I wanted to share with you...
We went with Holiday Inn Resorts Orlando Suites.

We wanted a room with plenty of room.  Yeah, it was only 4 of us... but with a 15 year old and an 8 year old... Whew, the moods and EVERYONE needs their own space.  Lucky for us, the room we picked was perfect.  It had a nice room off from the "sitting area" that was perfect for Matt and I.  We had our own tv and all in there.  Then, there was a bunk bed room perfect for Savannah.  That room also had a tv in there.  Finally, the couch let out into a bed as well, I had planned on that being for Broxton, but when we got in the room, the kids decided to share the bunk bed room.
I loved that the rooms were split off from the sitting area.  I loved that the rooms all had tv's (granted, I don't think we ever even turned them on more than like a minute or so for basic background noise.)  The only thing I wish had been different?  I wish the sleeping rooms would have had doors of some sort.  It was hard having everyone getting dressed / showered and all that good stuff with only the bathroom with a door on it.
Anyways - moving along...

We wanted to get a hotel that had a nice pool  When we saw that the water park area was at this hotel, we knew this was one we wanted to look into more.  The fact that there was so much to do on the property, well, it made it easier to have a "lazy" day around the hotel versus having to go and do every single day.  The pool was perfect.  They had a walk up bar area- they had a grill area serving burgers.
The pool / activity area  also included a 9 hole MINI GOLF and a basketball court area.
Each day we were there also included live entertainment from 2 employees.  They had music, kids did games, it was fun and seemed like everyone loved it!

The mini golf area.  It is very small, but being that it is included at the hotel, you can't complain!

Of course, having a 15 year old with us, he wasn't up for all the "family fun" that we were doing.  He spent time out here in one of the several court yard areas talking to his friends back home and having time away from us!

Just a few more pictures from around the resort.  They had a food court in one area.  There was a pizza/ wing place, Chinese food, ice cream shop, finer dining and even a buffet.  I know I am forgetting things and for all I know, it might change from time to time... but I am pretty sure that was what was there when we were there.
Oh, there is also an ARCADE, a small gift shop and even a movie theater right in the same area.
We planned to go see a movie while there, I think they show like 3 a day.. but we were too busy with other things.  We did make it to the " LOGO TRIVIA" one night - that was fun and it was fun having both kids involved and enjoying it.  We planned to go to karaoke one night, but when Savannah got there and realized they did not have the song available she wanted to sing, she was READY TO GO!

We ran into a couple that live in Orlando and they decided to treat themselves to a "staycation" there for the weekend.  It just goes to show just how much there is to do there.

So, like I was saying... I really just wanted to share with you in case you - or someone you know - is planning a trip to Orlando.  You might want to look into staying here at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites - Well worth the money and a great time was had!

Have you stayed here before?
