PandaFest Atlanta Recap

We were so lucky to get to experience PANDA FEST ATLANTA on Saturday (9-5-25)  We had never been and to be honest, had never even heard of it... so when the opportunity presented itself... WHY NOT???  We decided to do a date day/ night and head to Atlantic Station to see what it was all about. IT had Panda everything. We got there to a busy parking lot and headed on up to enter.

We made it through PandaFest Atlanta check in and then got our panda headbands.  (I made it a point to not inflate mine, so I could give it to Savannah, bad decision as I found out I needed to inflate it with a pump, not by mouth.  ha ha ha!)  Anyways, we walked in and were totally overwhelmed with all of the food vendors, merchandise vendors and entertainment.  We made the decision to walk around and check out all that was offered before we just jumped in to grab food.  I will admit that we did grab a peach lemonade from the first stand we saw though, it was BIG, it came in a souvenir cup and it was hot and we were thirsty!
We decided to get a sweet item - we ended up with 2 -
Soft Bite - Souffle Pancake - The Original Souffle Pancake and Mochi Mochii
If you follow me in instagram, you will see the pancake with purple on it and then a donut looking thing with oreos crushed on it - that was what we decided on.  I still don't know which was better, I think I would pick the pancake, but Matt still thinks he would choose the donut.

Let me tell you - Labubu is the craze down here and they had their fare share of Labubu things.  I spotted the macaroons, but we did not try them... They also had stickers, dolls and more... Thank goodness Savannah wasn't there - or she would have wanted it all!  Just kidding, we already plan to take her next year!

I will be honest, I saw these dumplins on Instagram and I made it a goal to go and find them, just because I thought that they looked so neat and I wanted a picture.  We ended up not getting these dumplins, but that was because Matt picked out something different.

Okay, this was just too cool for me - watch my instagram to see the video, but it was like these purple noodle looking things, but come to find out - it was SWEET POTATO ICE CREAM!!!!  The people in front of us tried it and liked it, said it was like a frosty type substance.  We figured we had enough sweet and wanted to try savory, so we skipped... Next year though!!!!

Savannah has mentioned the Tang Hu Lu, so we KNEW we wanted to try this out. I don't know where / how she learned of it... but since she did - we wanted to check it out.  I don't know what I was thinking, but I thought that the fruit was going to be cold - it wasn't.  It was sort of warm and while it was a neat thing to try - it was a been there/ done that for me.

As for the Savory - we went with the Steamed Bao and a Crispy Burger.  The Steamed Bao was a 4 pack - 1 vegan, 1 pork, 1 beef and 1 chicken.  The burger was a Gyudon Beef Burger. The Bao was nothing that I would order again, but they weren't bad... again , a been there done that..  but that burger?  Yep - would totally order again - actually wish I would have gotten my own instead of sharing it.  Ha! It was on this flaky kind of bread - not a typical burger bun.. then it was shaved meat and onions that were sauteed.

Enough about the food.  They also had merchandise for sale - jewelry, toys and what not.  We did not really look too much at that, just because it was so cute and I knew I would break the bank if I got started.  They also had things for the kids- a bounce area, face paint and even different entertainment on the stage.  They had singing / dancing and all sorts of other things.  They do offer a private sitting area / private bar and private restroom area if you order VIP tickets.  It was hot as hot could be, so I do think if they offer a VIP area, they should have also had fans set up to keep the tent/ sitting area cool.  I wasn't the only one, as I heard several people comment on that.  Another thing, I think they should have had someone there to check VIP - they had to make an announcement on the stage to leave the area unless you were VIP and that area was packed.  At one point people were talking about they weren't VIP, but were in there because of the bathrooms!!!!

So - let me know your thoughts...
Have you been to Panda Fest?  Would you go?  What festival have you been to or want to go to?
