STEM and creativity make @BRACKITZTOY fun!! #JBGiftGuide16 #Brackitz #STEM #GenderNeutralToys

Broxton loves to build.  He loves building blocks, but he will also build with just about anything he can get his hands on.  Yes, that includes taking my wooden domino's and using them to build walls for his army men. When I was given the chance to review a new toy out there, BRACKITZ, I knew this would be fun for all of us!

I thought the Brackitz set was loads of fun.  They come in fun colors and are perfect sized for little hands and big ones too!   The only thing I did not like?  For some reason, all toys / games/ building sets don't seem to come in a storage system to my liking.  I understand cutting down on cost by packing in light cardboard packaging, but even if it was a plastic bin, it would be better.  We ended up going to the dollar store and buying a couple of those shoe-box sized boxes to store these different pieces in.

We were sent the INVENTOR 44 piece set to review.  It comes with the following:
  10 Long Blue Planks
    12 Short Blue Planks
4 Blue 4-Way Connectors
4 Orange 4-Way Connectors
4 Red 3-Way Connectors
4 Yellow 3-Way Connectors
6 Magenta Motion Connectors

As I said, the pieces are perfect sized for large and small hands.  They included a book that showed you how to make different things, but the only limit is the creativity in your mind!!!
I love that this is a great gift for both boys and girls. Also, I am not really sure the recommended age, but I think it is great for all ages.  The pieces are not too small, so great for younger kids... but the different designs you can make would make this great for all ages.
I could totally see this as a great gift to donate to a classroom too!  You know, rainy day recess or even STEM lessons to allow for creativity to see what designs can be made.
I will say that while we both enjoyed them, I would like to eventually add more to our set to allow for us to build bigger things.  (This made for a great mother / son bonding time one afternoon!)

This is a great gift to add under the tree this year.  Maybe a great set to have at home and then gift another to leave at the grandparents as well?

  1. This looks like fun! Isaak gets into these types of toys. Mica's all about Legos, Legos, Legos. I wish he'd like other building toys. They all have their own perks.

  2. We have something similar. My youngest loves to build.
