When the boys come for the summer, we have plenty of laundry and boys = sweaty clothes!   I was excited to hear about Wisk Power Blasts. Not only did I learn that there is a Wisk Deep Clean Power Blast detergent, I learned about one of my last favorite things:  Sweat! Check this out:   Did you know that there are 250,000 sweat glands in your feet?   Or, that the average person can produce 1-3 gallons of sweat each week?  ...    Most people don’t realize that the average washload contains 20 times more hidden body oils and sweat than visible stains and this hidden d...

I am not sure if I have mentioned just how much I love the Magic School Bus DVD's.   I was not familiar with them before we had a chance to review them, but I tell you what... Now that I know them, I am eager to add more to our collection!  I know they are in books and DVD's, but we have not seen a book yet.  That is on the list for this summer!   We were sent the Magic School Bus - All About Earth for review.  I was excited about it... so I told Broxton's teacher about the DVD.   I figured it would be great to work into Earth Day (and they had recently done an "experiment" with a Volcano)  so I thought it was perfect timing! She let them watch a different episode during their lunch...

Bad Boy, Good Boy is being released on May 7, 2013. I really liked the story, but it did bother me a bit that they kept calling Sam a bad boy. Bad Boy, Good Boy is a really cute book that is based on 4 short stories.  Each of the stories have great illustrations and they follow Sam on his adventure. Yes, Sam does things that would upset adults... and maybe Sam doesn't think... but I really did not like that they kept calling him a bad boy...   (I know, maybe it is just me...but I am saying I did not like it.) Anyways, at the end of each story, we see why Sam did what he did... and we learn that Sam is NOT a bad boy... he is actually a Good Boy... that just did things wrong to get the results... He was never a "bad boy" on purpose, as his heart was always in the right place... Broxton and I were able to talk about what all Sam did... and how it could have been handled differently, so maybe that was a good way to do it... To let the book point out it was bad... and t...

Having a dad that has his own CPA firm... and a brother that is getting ready to graduate with his Master's in Accounting... You know I am all about sharing a few tips to make tax time easier.  I never thought much about Master Lock in terms of organization.... Quite honestly, I thought they just supplied locks of all sorts... Then, I was informed of more... With Tax Season's Deadline almost here... When is a better time than now to start preparing for next year?  In stead of running around trying to find all the different types of papers you need to give when filing your taxes, why not keep them all nice and neat in a Master Lock Storage Security Box ? We were sent one for review and I was rather im...

I will be the first to admit that I am always a bit skeptical about milk.   In restaurants, I worry that they have left it out... and as soon as it expires, I will not use it at home.. Maybe because I am not a big fan of just drinking milk, so I am always worried I might not know if it is safe to drink or not...  I am lucky that Broxton loves to drink milk, so we go through it pretty regularly here... But, when we are planning on going out of town or something, I am always hesitant to buy a new thing of milk...   I have always said I wanted to try the "shelf stable" milk... but I was always second guessing myself. What if I bought it and he hated it?  What if I bought it and it was bad?  I am goo...
