Kubo and The Two Strings

Image
I hate to say it, but I have heard nothing about Kubo and the Two Strings, set for release August 19, 2016.  The only information I have is what I have seen online, in my email.  Maybe its because its summer and we don't watch as much TV... I am not sure. Have you heard of it? Will you be watching? This is not a sponsored post, just wanted to share. Synopsis: Kubo and the Two Strings  is an epic action-adventure set in a fantastical Japan from acclaimed animation studio LAIKA. Clever, kindhearted Kubo (voiced by Art Parkinson of “Game of Thrones”) ekes out a humble living, telling stories to the people of his seaside town including Hosato (George Takei), Akihiro (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa), and Kameyo (Academy Award nominee Brenda Vaccaro). But his relatively quiet existence is shattered when he accidentally summons a spirit from his past which storms down from the heavens to enforce an age-old vendetta. Now on the run, Kubo joins forces with Monkey (Academy Award ...

I don't know about you, but shopping for kids can be a little stressful. At least for me it can be. Especially when you have a little one in the mix now!   I try and shop for Broxton online (or when he is not with me) and then have him try it on once we are home.  I have not done a huge amount of shopping for Savannah yet, THANK YOU BIG TIME to Previously loved items from my sister in law!   Now, we are at the stage where she is growing big time and we appear to be a season off.  That means I need to do some shopping, but I just don't enjoy it that much... I think because it is summer and hotter than Hades in some stores.  Lucky for me, I have been introduced to Wee Blessings and today I get to introduce you to them as well! How do you take your tea? @ChoiceOrganicTeas

Image
For many of us, we are in back to school mode.  Back to school has either already happened, or it is getting ready to happen.  Know what that means???  Schedule... Routine...   For me, that also means that I get a little bit of peace and quiet during the day again.  Not much, but some!   When I was a child, I can remember my grandaddy always making a nice cup of hot tea each night after dinner.  It was his way to rest and unwind and I can picture it like it was yesterday. Being from South Georgia, I am all about drinking nice ICE COLD SWEET TEA, but every now and then, it is nice to relax in the early morning (or early evening)  and have a nice hot tea as a treat.  Little did I know that there is such a wide variety of tea's out there these days! Lucky for me, I was sent a couple different tea's to try out enjoy!  Thanks to Choice Organic Teas, I get to share a couple tips for brewing the best tea at home. Image Credit- Choice Orga...

Opinions expressed are my own and are NOT influenced by monetary c ompensation . Are you going to be attending the Life of the Party Tour for Kidz Bop ?  Maybe you are just really a big fan of them, just like Broxton.  Either way ---  you might want to check out what this " hostess with the mostess" did for a Kidz Bop themed party .  I love the cupcake microphones and the pin the tour bus on the map.  I wish I had that creativity!!!!   Make sure you look to see if they are headed to a city near you !  Broxton wants to meet them so bad, it won't be happening, but you can see if they have VIP meet and greet tickets available for the show if you make it to one!  In or near Atlanta?  You can purchase tickets HERE to the Alpharetta event!...

Kidz Bop 32 & Life of the Party Tour... #Alpharetta #Georgia

It is always surprising to people when they get in our car the music that comes from the radio. Broxton is a HUGE fan of the KIDZ BOP CD's and they get plenty of play time in there! Once our passengers realize it is a kid singing popular songs they normally start to sing along, although sometimes they are a bit amazed and they just sit and listen. (It is especially funny to watch the reaction of a teenager.) The songs on the discs are the popular songs that are on the radio today... just CLEAN versions and sang by kids.  That means it is mama approved so we get to enjoy good music without the profanity or the bleeping out of words and phrases.   FTC Compliant Review Policy:   The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Tips to help Raise A Reader @RARnational

Image
Although summer is almost over for us, it is still going strong for others.  The list of "raising a reader" tips below talk about summer break, but it can be used throughout the year.  I know that nightly reading is part of Broxton's homework, so we will be trying a few of these tips out.  This is NOT a sponsored post, you guys know I love reading, so I wanted to share this with you!   Here are some of the Raising A Reader tips for parents: Reading often gets lost in the shuffle of summer activities such as camp, sports and vacation travel. Schedule a regular time to share books with your child and establish a regular routine to ensure reading doesn’t become a low priority and has the same importance as other activities. It’s OK to let your child read e-books if he or she is comfortable using a tablet, but remember, whether it’s an e-book or a print book -- especially for young children -- the most important thing is to spend time together sharing the book....
