This is at a hotel in Alpharetta.   The ABCs of Family Fun in Alpharetta A is for Art Walk – Visit 20 sculptures across Alpharetta! Best Gift For 2024 - ONCE UPON A BOOK CLUB - Thank Me Later!!!

Image
As 2023 comes to a close, I really wanted to talk about one of my most favorite subscription boxes.  I have to admit, as a mom, I tend to spend all of my money on my kids... and other loved ones... and rarely on me.  Every now and then I take a chance and order a subscription box for myself.  It ends up being a fun treat, since I don't know what is in there and it is like little surprises for me!   To be honest, several of them were major let downs. I am sorry, but just because I am a female, it does NOT mean I want a box full of makeup / pamper items... So those are normally a big waste for me.  FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. Synchronicity Theatre - The Little Prince

Image
We were recently invited to visit Synchronicity Theatre to see their production of THE LITTLE PRINCE.  If you follow my blog, you know that Savannah LOVES this movie.  We have the movie, we have the book...we even have a couple of the figurines from the story. That being said, I knew it was a no brainer that I would be taking her to the show, if at all possible!  Synchronicity Theatre was new to us, as we had never visited it and did not know anything about it... But, it was easy to get to!  We grabbed a spot in the parking deck ( take your ticket, so you can get parking validated) and then we were on our way!!!! She was so excited about the play!   FTC Compliant Review Policy:    The product(s) featured in this review were provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency for the sole purpose of product testing. If you know me at all... You know how much I love to travel and see what all is out there.  Lucky for me, Matt likes it too, so we have made many adventures together already!  We can go on a day trip, or an over night one... either way, you can bet we will be laughing along the way!   Recently we were invited to check out a friend of mine's airbnb - and I have to be honest, it is the first airbnb I have ever been in... but it was absolutely PERFECT, so I wanted to tell you all about it!   So, the airbnb is in Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia.  We got there and wanted to check out the little town.  That being said, we drove over to the "main street" there and parked to check it out. They had several buildings with murals painted on the side.  They had a few different places to shop - and GET THIS ---  my friends were in the process of opening up an eating establishment!!! It is called Dakota's Counter   and its in downtown Chipley,...

One Warm Coat

Image
Now, I am not personally familiar with this organization, but I have heard of them...  And if not this one, maybe just think about donating coats to someone this year that might be in need!   As summer fades and anticipation of a new school year looms, parents are busy with the usual preparations. Buying new school supplies, scheduling haircuts, and adjusting sleep schedules are the obvious tasks on the back-to-school checklist. However, there’s a crucial element that can be added to this annual ritual; an opportunity to teach our children about the power of giving back.  Parents should not just reset their routines and refresh their children’s wardrobes but also consider donating outgrown or unused coats for a worthy cause.  These donations to  One   Warm   Coat  will be used to  warm  children and adults in need this winter.    37 million or 11% of all Americans now live in poverty, struggling to afford basic necessities...
