Aloha Friday #19 - Birthday
It is Friday! Aloha all!
You know the drill...
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that you take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kailani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My question this week:
Who all did you invite to your little ones first birthday party?
Broxton turns one next month and I am trying to figure out who to invite...
Do I just invite the grandparents? Or do I invite cousins and my friends with small children?
Oh lord girl...there were too many to count at Em's first birthday. Well on her birthday we just had my parents, sisters and brother-in-law over BUT that weekend Hank's parents came in and we had a big party on the farm. All family and friends were invited including our church which has over 250 members. BIG BLOW OUT BASH!! LOL
ReplyDeleteWell my daughter is only 5 months, but Im already starting to think about it. With my son, we went to the beach and celebrated with my immediate family.
ReplyDeleteEvan will be 3 Aug 3rd and Isabella will be 1 Aug 5th, so we'll do one party with two themes. Probably just grandparents and aunts and uncles. Our brothers and sister are all younger than us and they don't have any kids...so I guess there won't be any kids there.
I had two parties. One with family and one with JDaniel's playgroup. Six one year olds was a little busy for me.
ReplyDeleteWe invited everyone to Big Brother's first birthday. Then when Big Sister came around we did not even have a party and just took a family weekend away instead. Now with Little Sister I think we will do the same as we did for Big Sister.
ReplyDeleteWe just had family. It was nice and simple.
ReplyDeleteWe invited family we had close. I also invited a couple close friend's of ours that have kids.
ReplyDeleteMy parents.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Aloha Friday link for you
Family and close friends.
ReplyDeleteMy son's party we had a big cookout, his b-day is in July so it was nice because we could have it outdoors.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter's is in February, so it is harder to have as many people (my house isn't that big)
But we had family. Which was like grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. Which may have been at least 15-20 people.
I invited all of my friends that had small children and some of my closest that didn't. I also invited all of my family members but I don't have a huge family. We had a huge BBQ at my inlaws house and it was awesome!
ReplyDeleteI only invited close family. mom , dad, grands and aunts and uncles. We were all already in the same house so it worked out great.
ReplyDeleteThe baby just want to eat cake and play :)
Oooh Happy birthday to your sweetie when it comes around next month!
ReplyDeleteWe have a very close extended family. For both of the boys we had great-grandmas, grandparents, our siblings and their familes (2), and some of my aunts/uncles and great aunts.
ReplyDeleteFor my oldest's first birthday we invited immediate family - but my husband and I both have pretty large immediate families so that was still a lot of people.
ReplyDeletejust close family and a couple of friends! It was 15 people(I thought alot) but turned out really nice! very casual party!
ReplyDeleteWe just had family at Alex's first and will do the same for Eliana's. His grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were there. That was plenty if you ask me. lol
ReplyDeleteI invited just family from both sides. Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, cousins, and Godparents.
ReplyDeleteWe just did a first birthday party a couple of weeks ago. I invited EVERYONE. It was crazy, and I'm definitely never doing that again!
