Kids Music to Get You Moving!
I have worked with this company in the past and have received different CD's over time. I have not received all of these, but still wanted to share, as you might like to see what is out there.
If you are looking for music to keep your young ones entertained... This is the post for you to be reading!
Planning any road trips and need music? Or want fun music to enjoy on rainy days (or too cold to go outside days!)
NYC's Shine and the Moonbeams took the kindie world by storm in 2011 with a live performance at the annual Kindiefest conference and the release of a nationally acclaimed radio hit called "High Five." Since then, lead singer Shawana Kemp has taken her band and fans on a musical adventure, performing shows for enthusiastic crowds at NYC’s Summerstage, Symphony Space and Carnegie Kids and recording a batch of original and hooky songs. The happy result is Shine and the Moonbeams, the band’s first self-titled album release, available digitally and in hard copy on June 18, 2013 from CDBaby and other retailers.

The four-time Grammy-nominated, nationally touring act Trout Fishing in America, is back with their wittiest collection of original story-songs yet. Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers features tongue twisters, mind-benders, spooky situations and instantly identifiable slices of a kid’s life. From the creepy feeling of stepping in a gooey substance that is definitely “not mud,” to witnessing the disturbing sight of your sister kissing her boyfriend, to exploring a “Zoo Wacky Zoo” where tigers do the tango, the wildly imaginative songs and situations unfold with every track.
Click the link and for sure listen to the title track! It is sure to make you laugh and sing along with them!

Music to engage all ages, My Cup Of Tea is a healthy serving of fun. Styles from folk to vintage pop spiced with flavors of the world are served up hot and fresh.
If you visit their website, you are immediately greeted with the Title Track song... I admit, I loved it and thought it was very catchy!

Music is a great way to build a community, particularly when everyone’s singing, tapping and dancing along with a performer. Human connection and a strong sense of place are the driving forces behind the new release by communal songster Lloyd Miller. His first solo album release, S. S. Brooklyn, will be available from various retailers on September 24th.
Lloyd Miller is also known as the leader of the indie band The Deedle Deedle Dees, whose distinctive brand of all-ages historical rock music has won national awards and acclaim.
Thanks for the review, this looks great! I have 2 young children and I also substitute teach and this would be great for the younger grades, thanks!
ReplyDeleteFun! My boys like They Might Be Giants the most out of all the kid's albums. I'll have to test these out on them.
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard these - will have to check it out. I like playing Mr. Stinky Feet and They Might be Giants for my kiddos. Both are great.
ReplyDeleteThe Cds we put in the car for the kids always end up being MY favorite too. :) This sounds fun!
