Most shows today are not really family friendly (I hate admitting that, but I feel that way most of the time).  I feel like most shows are showing things that are inappropriate or the language is questionable...  But, there is a timeless classic that is sure to make everyone laugh and is perfect for the whole family!
I told you before that Marc was a huge fan of the Wonder Years and I enjoy watching them as well (although I will say that I was not a die hard fan like Marc, but that might be an age thing too.)  If you are looking for a show to show what your childhood was like to your kids (sneak in a bit of childhood history) or you are just looking for a great show to watch, remember that the Wonder Years has FINALLY been released. You can purchase the whole season (or if you are not ready to drop that much money at once, you can purchase the seasons individually, as season 2 has just been released!)

For six seasons, The Wonder Years captured the angst of growing up in suburban middle-class America in the late "60's, as seen through the life and times of Kevin Arnold (Fred Savage).  Audiences eagerly followed his evolution as a typical teenager who remembered every moment of his transition from childhood with excruciating detail and remarkable hindsight.
In Season 2, Kevin confronts the day-to-day pressures of junior high school life.  Kids don't know what they want, and the girls are just as confused as the boys.  On the home front, older brother Wayne (Jason Hervey) continues his bullying ways, but Kevin fights back and grows some back-bone.  His inner strength is tested when he participates in a class walkout to protest the Vietnam War, and joins his pas Paul Pfeiffer (Josh Saviano) and Winnie Cooper (Danica McKellar) to stop developers from destroying Harper's Woods, the site of many happy childhood memories.  Re-pave paradise and put up a... mall?

  3. Like Colette, I've only seen a few episodes of this show. I completely agree about family-friendly TV. We've been watching a few channels that show old series like "Get Smart" and "I Love Lucy." A video would be even better, because it wouldn't have the commercials. :)

  5. Isn't is sad that they don't make shows like this anymore?
