We have been so busy with family things lately, I do not know when I have had the time to watch a movie. This year has been full of things going on (good and bad) and movies, while loved and enjoyed have been put on the back burner. I have heard friends recommending some, so I thought I would share a few more popular titles. Maybe you want to buy one, or at least rent it... Check them out. Let me know if you have seen them what you think about them! I actually really want to watch both of these, as I am a fan of both Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Anniston. These are both on my must watch list for this summer!
From the director of Dallas Buyers Club (Jean-Marc VallĂ©e), WILD recounts the reckless behavior of Cheryl Strayed (Witherspoon), who makes a rash decision to embark on a challenging trek across the Pacific Crest Trail. With absolutely no experience, she sets out to hike more than a thousand miles all on her own — in what becomes an unforgettable journey of transformation and redemption that strengthens and ultimately heals her.
The WILD Blu-ray™ and DVD are packed with behind-the-scenes featurettes, an interactive trail map, audio commentary and deleted scenes, all designed to take audiences deeper into Nick Hornby’s adaptation of Strayed’s first-person memoir, “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail,” which recounts her hike along the PCT, which stretches from Mexico to Canada.
The release also includes a chance for fans to go behind-the-scenes in “The Real Location Is The Best Location,” which delves into the authentic shooting process at the Pacific Crest Trail – the actual location where Cheryl Strayed began her journey. In “The Real Cheryl Strayed,” audiences can learn about the woman who inspired it all. Book and movie fans will also receive a touching story extension in a collectible booklet from author Cheryl Strayed when they purchase the movie on Blu-ray™.
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment invites audiences to be inspired as they take a raw and emotional journey with a woman trying to navigate her way through personal redemption. “JENNIFER ANISTON IS HEARTBREAKINGLY GOOD.” (– Pete Hammond, DEADLINE) as the star of this life-affirming, dark comedy as an “odd, funny, powerful central metaphor: a character that insists on charting a course in a world she refuses to look at.”¹ This beautiful exploration of the human condition and transformation arrives on Digital HD April 10 and Blu-ray, DVD and VOD April 21.
CAKE takes us into the darkly funny world of Claire Bennett (Jennifer Aniston) who initiates a dubious relationship with a widower (Sam Worthington) while confronting fantastical hallucinations of his dead wife (Anna Kendrick). With her feisty housekeeper-cum-caretaker (Adriana Barraza) ever at her side, Claire searches for human connection and self-forgiveness in this tale of personal redemption.
Directed by Daniel Barnz, Jennifer Aniston’s performance in CAKE has been nominated for Golden Globe® Award, Critics’ Choice Award®, and Screen Actors Guild Award® in the “Best Actress” category. The Blu-ray and DVD special features dive deeper into the all-star cast and takes a closer look at the many layers of CAKE.
I like both of them. I wish Reese Witherspoon was in more movies. She seemed to drop off a bit.
