THE Perfect Mothers Day gift- Origami Owl

In the age of the internet, it seems like I am always hearing about this and that online.  For me, I have to see things in person (or know someone who has had a personal experience with it,) it is always just in the back of my mind.  I don't remember when I first heard of Origami Owl, but I tell you this... I did think it looked cute, but jewelry that was affordable must be cheap quality.  At least that was what I told myself.  My opinion changed when I was able to review the Origami Owl collection!

For Easter, I was sent a beautiful Easter locket to check out the Origami Owl line and I am sharing with you now, so that you know it holds up.  Even when you have a baby trying to chew on it and everything else these days.
To say I was impressed with it would be an understatement.
Origami Owl is a "charm necklace," that would be the easiest way to describe it to me.
You can order a necklace already made (Like my Easter necklace above.  Look at the Origami Owl website to see the gorgeous Mothers Day necklaces!  I really want the Thank You Mom one!!!  LOVE IT!!!)
If you want a custom made necklace, it seems pretty easy to do.
I have a big neck (*just throwing it out there, we all know I am not a little person by any means.)  So I was concerned that the necklace would not fit.  It not only fit, but also came with three other loops to make it adjustable to be the length that best suits the wearer! (The chains range from $12-$22 each.)
Then you pick out the locket you would like.   (Again, affordable.  Ranges from $20 -$58)
Now, the fun part... The charms that go inside.  It appears like 7 is a good number of charms to go inside to "tell your story" but also not overcrowd.
These charms are $5-$12 each and get this... they even have some collegiate teams represented!
You can also make bracelets and even add additional touches, such as personalizing it with an inscription and even more accessories!

I was trying to get a couple shots to show you just how pretty this is.
I really do think I want to make one to wear year round.
My 7 charms for the first one?
Silver Mom
Ladybug
Georgia Bulldogs
Cross and Heart
Camera
Basketball
Infinity

This would make a wonderful Mother's Day gift!!!  You could custom make one, or you could grab one already put together!!!  Easy as anything.  Just a warning, once you get one, you will want more!!

What charms would you pick?
What charm would you like that you didn't see?

  1. These are so cute.
I can see how easy it would be for little ones to help make these.

  2. I'd pick: A Lemon, A Doughnut, Ivory Flower, Artist Pallet, Octopus, and the Sugar Skull Charm.

I'd like added a MacBook or computer, a Slice of Pie, a Mini Scrabble Tile, and a Mini Domino.

  3. This is such a cute idea, and I would love to have one of these, and also it would be a great gift, too. I've not seen it anywhere.
