Bring home Elvis today! #AD #MovieReview
I don't remember how old I was, but I sure enough remember taking one of our family vacations to Graceland when I was a kid. My mom was ELVIS OBSESSED (still is, if I am being honest!) and that year, she decided that Graceland was the spot. I am pretty sure we went to Tupelo, the birthplace of Elvis... and I know we went to Memphis to the Peabody Hotel ... I will never forget those ducks getting off the elevator! We ended up at Graceland and saw all the different rooms!
When I saw that they were making an ELVIS movie, I knew I would want to see it, and mentioned seeing it with my mom... The plan was to go watch it in the theaters, but the weekends just would not allow for it. When I had the chance to review it, I was quick to say yes... Just have not had time to watch it with my mom. I did sneak and go ahead and watch it myself. I will admit, I learned many things about Elvis and to be honest, I was saddened to see how his life spiraled... and heart broken when his mama died.... Have you watched it yet?? Are you / Were you a fan of Elvis?

SYNOPSIS
A thoroughly cinematic drama, Elvis’s (Austin Butler) story is seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). As told by Parker, the film delves into the complex dynamic between the two spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).
