I Think Jack Dawson Was In My Living Room - Titanic 3D
I am not even going to lie...
I could have sworn that Jack Dawson was in my living room yesterday!
You know... Jack Dawson... AKA Leonardo DiCaprio from Titanic!
I was so lucky to have the chance to review the latest from Titanic..
Titanic 3D.
A friend of mine kept laughing at how excited I was over this... but I could have cared less, I was like a kid in a candy store or on Christmas morning... I mean, I was REALLY excited!
Let me tell you how it went...
Well, let me back up and tell you that I am not tech savvy, so that was a start right there...
But then, I go and put my 3D movie in... Put my 3D glasses on...
I am ready to go... but nothing...
Come to find out, our blu-ray player needed updating first...
So, I am on the phone figuring this out... Then, the lady says " let's see if it is working now" I turn it on and the menu screen about slaps me in the face! It was IN 3D! I squealed like I can imagine Broxton would if he opened a dream light right now...
(It made it even nicer that I got a couple goodies as well... I was sent a sketch pad journal like the one Jack had where he drew the picture of Rose... and even the Anniversary Edition CD of the music soundtrack!)
I quickly got off the phone and started to watch my new movie.
I guess I should tell you that I absolutely LOVE Titanic. We still have it on VHS and I will watch whenever it is on TV just as if I have never seen it before. I remember watching it in college when it first came out... All of us crying our eyes out (Yes, I still cry now, years after seeing it the first time... there is just something about the movie.)
So, you know how the movie starts and they are underwater looking at the remains of the sunken ship?
How they send that little camera out there to look in the ship?
Yeah... So... I felt like I was underwater with them! The little bubbles that are in the water were sure enough 3D and making me feel like they were coming at me! The camera, I swear I could have reached out and grabbed it right then!
It was so neat seeing the movie in 3D and to be honest, since it was such a different viewing experience, I did feel as though I was watching it for the first time!
Here is the disc information for the 3D disc I was sent :
(I have not watched all the extras, I do plan on it. I was just on overload from the excitement of the movie!)
