When you start planning for all of your Christmas gift ideas, why not try and think outside the box...
There are many ways to do that, but one way that stands out is great to me.
What might that be?
Oh - World Vision!!!
From their site:
The World Vision Gift Catalog offers more than 250 items that help fight poverty and save lives here in US and around the world. With a financial contribution, donors can select one of the 30+ Handcrafted Gifts that can be shared with a loved one and at the same time help a person in need.

Ornament Set: This set includes three handmade Zakale wire and bead animal trio ornaments from Nairobi.

Help where it's needed most ... AND get a gift for yourself or someone you care about! With your gift of $150 or more to where most needed — which provides for the unique needs of children and families worldwide — you will receive this beautiful set of handmade Zakale wire & bead ornaments from Nairobi. Zakale crafts are made from recycled materials by Kenyan artisans, who received a loan from World Vision to grow their business and lift themselves out of poverty.
Ornament sizes vary by animal (giraffe 4" x 1½", elephant 2½" x 3" & water buffalo 2 7/10 " x 2½").When requesting the ornament set, please note your gift is tax-deductible less the fair market value of $30.

It is an unnecessary tragedy that a child dies from hunger and related causes every 10 seconds. Millions more are at risk of physical and mental impairment from chronic hunger.
Today, you can provide life-saving food, improved livestock like Galla goats, agricultural support, clean water, medicines, and other essential care to hungry children and families around the world. And because of grant funds and donated goods, your gift multiplies 5 times in impact to help save lives.
World Vision is committed to responding to the needs of hungry children and families. Any gift you give today will help provide the emergency food children need to survive — vitamin-rich beans, maize, and other nutritious grains and vegetables. Plus, you'll help feed them for years to come by giving their families vegetable seeds, farming tools, strong and improved livestock, clean water, and other vital assistance.
Remember, your gift multiplies 5 times to help the hungry. Thank you for giving so generously and please keep these children and families in your prayers.

What I really like about World Vision is how they don't just donate a bit of money and go on about their business...  There are several ways you can partake in this... You can make a donation "where it is needed most"  without a gift item... or you can donate money and receive a gift to give whomever you are donating in honor of ... That way they will see the gift and always remember your donation.

But it gets better, when you donate, they don't just give them food.. they give them seeds to plant a garden and continue in the foods... or you can give a goat ... like I said, the options are endless in how you can help!!!

One of you can win the Ornament Set mentioned above!!!
