Winter months means we need to take care of our skin.  If you remember, Broxton has eczema that likes to flare up when the weather changes.  I don't go slathering Vaseline on him before school, but there are times when I do put it on him before bed.  I know that the Vaseline locks in moisture and Vaseline has been a name we have trusted for all of my life.  We are lucky enough that his school actually has a "school nurse" (I actually thought ALL schools had them, but Marc heard on the news the other day that not all schools require them)  and not too long ago, we had a note sent home with a list of items they were in need of.  One item on the list? Vaseline. I had to go in and ask why they would need Vaseline and get this...   So many kids come in with chapped lips and are sent to the office with cracking lips.  She gets little containers and places Vaseline in it, sends them back to class with their own little "lip therapy!"  I think this is an awesome idea and I was lucky enough that Vaseline sent along several tubs of Vaseline for his school and some for us to keep at home!
If you are dealing with dry skin, why not grab a tub of Vaseline to keep on hand, or grab a few tubs of Vaseline to donate to your local school to help the kids in your area!

  4. I've been fighting dry skin--more than usual--this winter, so this is good to know. I gave my grandmother some Vaseline skin and lip products for Christmas, because I knew it was something she could use!
