We normally have the TV on at all times...  Some times we are watching, but also for background noise too.  I hate to admit, but we are not familiar with the Nickelodeon show, Avatar. Lucky for us, we just received the complete series for review, so we will be looking into it soon.  I am thinking this would make a nice addition under the tree this Christmas, or maybe as a kick off to winter break?  I don't know, but it looks like something Broxton will enjoy!

About Avatar: The Last Airbender
Launched in February 2005, Avatar is an animated comic adventure set in a fantastical Asian world.  This epic story follows the journey of twelve-year-old Aang, a reluctant hero who must lead the fight against the evil Fire Nation to restore balance in his war-torn world. The world is divided into four nations: Water, Earth, Air and Fire. Within each nation is an order of masters who possess the ability to manipulate their native element. They call themselves Waterbenders, Earthbenders, Airbenders, and Firebenders. The most powerful bender in the world is the Avatar, the spirit of the planet incarnate.

  1. Mica's read a few of the books. The library had this as a theme for one of their lock-ins. I know it's well liked.

  2. This looks like a cute movie for my kids.

  3. I remember the movie they did years ago, but I haven't seen this animated version.
