Our Pirate Island Adventure and an upcoming Adults Only Night @LDCATLANTA

We are lucky enough to have Legoland Discovery Center (Atlanta) near us and with a son that loves ANYTHING LEGO, we have been at least once or twice.  Who am I kidding?  We used to have season passes and we made it a point to go as much as we could.  Since having the baby, we don't get out to go as often as we once did, so I try to make up for it when I can.
Recently we were invited to go to a sneak peak for the new opening of their newest exhibit, Pirate Island.  Of course I said yes, I had to go check it out and it was a great gift for this awesome big brother we have here!

Whenever we go, Broxton loves to do the rides, build and play in the play area...

This time, I thought he was going to flip his lid!  (I did not tell him about the new exhibit, I just told him I wanted to take him someplace fun for the night!)

See this???  Yep!  It is the new Pirate Island Adventure. 

This once had the children's play area back there.  Now it is a full on PIRATE ADVENTURE and you can go play with your child on all of it!   

Off to one side they have a water play area! Build your ship and race it against others to see who makes it first!    I know water play has always been fun and this will be great for kids (and adults) of all ages!

They also have a new Lego 4d movie, I was finally able to talk him into seeing it, but he was more excited about the play area that night. Make sure you take time to see it while you are there.  Its great to see Wyldestyle, Emmet and the gang again!

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta celebrates newest exhibit with Pirate Adventure Island Adult Night on April 21.

Phipps Plaza attraction welcomes adults for an aquatic adventure and pirate-themed activities

Land-ho! Adult fans of LEGO® are invited to a swash-buckling celebration of LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta’s newest exhibit at Pirate Adventure Island Adult Night on Thursday, April 12 from 7-9 p.m. LEGO and pirate enthusiasts alike will be taken on a nautical adventure with pirate-themed activities, including a scavenger hunt, LEGO pirate chess and more! Guests can also compete against fellow shipmates in a pirate ship building competition. Nine lucky buccaneers will be chosen to compete in ship races on the Pirate Adventure Island water table!
WHAT: 
Enjoy a pirate-themed scavenger hunt, a pirate ship building competition, giveaways and more fun! The top nine builds will be chosen to compete in ship races on the Pirate Adventure Island water table at 8 p.m. Guests will have access to the LEGO Factory Tour, MINILAND, Kingdom Quest laser ride, Merlin’s Apprentice, the 4D Cinema and model building in addition to the café and LEGO shop.
