Back to School Bash Benefiting the EOD Warrior Foundation

WHO: EOD Warrior Foundation

WHAT: Back to School Bash Benefiting the EOD Warrior Foundation

Gather for some family fun before the new school year starts! There will be a Back-to-School Bash open to the entire Woodstock community, benefiting the EOD Warrior Foundation, on July 29, 2017, starting at 4:00 p.m. The Back to School Bash will take place at the Eagle Watch Main Park in Woodstock, Georgia. This family friendly event offers free admission, and will have food trucks, games, a rock climbing wall, DJ, and a movie night (bring your own chairs/blankets). The movie will be “The Boss Baby,” a 2017 PG-rated comedy starring the voices of Alec Baldwin, Lisa Kudrow, and Steve Buscemi. You can also meet bomb technicians, see their response vehicles and try your hand at operating a bomb disposal robot. For the adults, there will be wine tasting with EOD Cellars. This event guarantees to be an afternoon of fun for the whole family! Proceeds raised from this fundraising event will support the mission of the EOD Warrior Foundation: to improve the quality of life for the EOD family by providing financial relief, scholarship opportunities, physical, social, and emotional support.

EOD stands for Explosive Ordnance Disposal, the disarming and disposal of bombs. EOD technicians are highly-trained military members serving in the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force who are responsible for disarming, rendering safe and disposing bombs. The EOD profession is one of the most dangerous occupations in the military. On average there are over 7,000 brave men and women serving as EOD technicians who willingly put themselves in harms ways to protect the lives and property of others. Their service includes support to the most complex special operations missions.  Find more EOD Warrior Foundation event information online, at EOD Warrior Foundation Back to School Bash
