Start a new tradition with @angelssingmovie #JBGiftGuide16

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here.  This past weekend, we had the opportunity to have a movie night thanks to the movie, Angels sing to kick off the festivities. We made sugar cookies (and decorated them) Yeah, I need LOTS of help in the baking department, but we had fun and that is all that matters.  We decorated the tree.  The tree has been redecorated thanks to having a 1 year old that wants to help too.  We even got a couple penguin decorations to remember the fun of this weekend as part of getting ready for the holidays.

Think about it, are the holidays really about the gifts under the tree?  No.  It is about making memories.  Spending time with family and friends.  Reminiscing about the past and making traditions for the future.  The movie is a good one and it will pull at your heart strings.  (Great gift idea if you are looking for one!)
We have several "traditions" around here.
Christmas Eve PJ's.  Low Country Boil on Christmas Eve.  Family for Christmas Day.

Growing up, I can tell you our traditions like it was yesterday.
We would travel to my grandparents house on Christmas Eve.  We would eat dinner and open gifts with them.  Then, we would load up to go home (it was an hour drive each way.)  As we went to leave, my grandaddy would always say "watch for deer" and we would be on our way.  We would listen to Christmas music on the way home.  Once home, we would open gifts from the family and then go to sleep.  Christmas morning, we would see what Santa brought and then go to my other grandparents house for Christmas lunch.
Every - single- year.
Times have changed, loved ones have passed, but I have the memories.

I hope to make memories with Broxton and Savannah like my parents did with me.  Thanks to the Angels Sing movie, I was reminded just how important making those memories really are.

What are traditions that you have as a family?
