While I wish that we could head to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, it just is not in the cards to do so at this time.  That does not mean that we can not have a good time and celebrate on our own at home.  We were lucky that one year Marc's oldest came to visit and he brought us a King Cake from back home.  We have YET to find one that tastes anything like them here.  Yes, we do buy one anyways, as it is tradition...  that reminds me, Broxton is the one responsible for buying one this year, as he found the baby last time! Adult coloring books!  They are everywhere and they are set to fit the budget for everyone.  You can buy a nice fancy one and drop a few bucks on it, or you can get one just as cool for a lot less and have a blast.  I was sent a couple for review and I have really enjoyed it.  Let's be honest, I will bust out the crayons and color in my sons Star Wars and Paw Patrol coloring books without thinking twice... but it sure is nice to have an adult one to relax and unwind coloring a little here and there.  No, they are not as easy to finish as a big picture of Yoda, but they have been found to help release stress and help us just escape and u...

It has been said that the more you engage in conversation with children, the quicker they will pick things up. I believe that is why there is such a big draw to read to them as well,  you know, to let them pick up vocabulary words.  We read all the time, so Savannah hears conversation.
