Well, we use it in moderation and to be honest, I think each child is different and just because it might work with one, doesn't mean it will work with the others.  For us, we watch one show before bedtime. The show that Broxton is requesting right now?  Odd Squad.  I had never heard of it, but once we started watching it nightly, I think it is a great choice.  An added bonus?  It is all about MATH and that is his strong subject!  He loves it and is really good at it.  I love hearing him answer the questions as he watches the show!!!!  They have a new DVD being released on March 1...

Do you give gifts at Easter?  I remember the Easter Bunny coming to see me as a child.  It was fun to see my basket filled with candy and usually a stuffed animal of some sort.  My cousins always had what seemed to me to be a second Christmas.  It was insane the different gifts that they got.  I am not sure if it was all Easter Bunny, or if their parents gave them some gifts too, but either way, it was a lot of presents.  Broxton normally gets a little basket from the Easter Bunny, but nothing major. As a kid, I absolutely LOVED the movie, Pete's Dragon.  Now, it seems as though Disney is releasing it as a " reimagining " of the classic.  To add to MY excitement, it is being released August 12th.  (August is my birth month, so you know that means we celebrate the whole month!  I think this was just meant to be an extra bonus for my birthday.  Maybe not, but I am pretending it is!)  I can not wait to see it on the big screen and you know I will be having a movie date with my Broxton to enjoy it.  Until then, here is a little sneak peak for you... Have you seen the previews for the movie (based on a true events) Eddie the Eagle?  We saw the previews a few times and I thought it would be a good one to see.  Broxton (nor Marc) mentioned it, but it looked like one of those "feel good" movies that are nice to watch from time to time.  We ended up getting an invitation to go see an advance screening and Broxton was out of school for a winter break. Of course, since it was his BIRTHDAY WEEK, I said yes and we headed out one night to go see it.
