Thomas and Friends : Day of the Diesels (DVD Review)


As we all know, Broxton LOVES Thomas and Friends...
We have the toys, the books and of course, the DVD's.

I was excited to know that we would be adding to our DVD collection with the newest DVD from them.
Thomas and Friends: Day of the Diesel was not really what we were expecting.
Yes, it had Thomas and Percy, but it seemed a bit too "negative" for Broxton.
Don't get me wrong, we don't try and pretend the world is perfect..
With this DVD, it just seemed a little older than for a 2 and a half year old.

This DVD has the introduction of two new firefighting engines...
Flynn and Belle.
Broxton LOVED it!!!!!

Thomas shows them around Sodor Island, but in the process of doing so, Percy gets pushed to the side and is feeling ignored!
Then, there are the Diesels...
Ugh...... I don't care for them, neither does Broxton!
Diesel 10 is a bad guy and long story short, he takes advantage of Percy feeling left out!
Broxton did not really get into it the first time, I do not know if it was because it was a bit scary in the eyes of a toddler, or what...
But, a couple days later, he did ask to watch it again...
(We had talked about how Diesel wasn't being a good friend and that you should always love your friends and be nice to them..)

We have since watched it again a couple more times.
I know he loves watching Thomas, but I do think that this is probably for the 4 and older age group.
So, if you have a train fan...
Or a Thomas fan...
(That is a bit older!)
I think you should think about adding this to your gift list this year!!!

    my 3 yr old son is obsessed with Thomas the train morning noon and night and even with car rides. thank goodness for DVds

    My boys both have like Thomas. I just wish that all the train sets out there fit on one track. We have Team GeoTrax to. Then there's Chuggington and Dinosaur Train. Too many sets.

    It is great that Thomas' movies have morals to them!
