Decorate Without Making a Mark - @PhotoTrax #giveaway
I love photos and I love hanging them in my house... If I could, I would have them everywhere, but Marc doesn't like the holes left in the walls... While we are at it, I get annoyed having to take the frame down to change out the pictures, so they either stay that way forever... or they never get hung!!!!
When I was in college (Yes, mental note for another blog post) I lived in a dorm my first two years... The walls were just cement.. (looked like painted cinder blocks, maybe they were?) Any way, you could not hang anything on them... Of course, we wanted photos of family and friends, but you didn't want to take up valuable shelf space with frames... So, we improvised and just taped pictures up... or got that sticky putty stuff... Basically, it did not look that great, but it got the job done!
I am not sure what dorm life is like now.. But, if its anything like my days.. You will be excited to know of a new product that I get to share with you. Have you heard of PhotoTrax?
Well, I heard about them and asked to check them out... I was pretty impressed and let me tell you why:
First of all, it is a little black "track" that you slide your photos in. It is made to hold 4x6 photos... (Like straight out of the box.) BUT, if you want to display larger photos.. Just snap it apart and move it to the size you want...
Second.. No holes! It is hung with removable adhesive... HELLO?! PERFECT FOR DORM ROOMS, AS WELL AS BASE LIVING... If you live in military housing, you know what I mean.. this works perfect...
Third, you want to change your photos... change them, just pop it out.. No more worrying about having to take the frame off and take the back off... you just do it right there... While it is on the wall!!!!
I think that this would be great for a kids room...
Example One: Take photos of different things that will help with their alphabet..
Apple, Ball, Cat, Dog, Ear, Flag, Grape or maybe take a picture of just the letter.
Example Two: Take photos of whatever their room theme is...
Transportation? Cars, Trucks, Trains, Planes..
That way, you can change the photos as their theme changes!!!!
This would also be great for any other room. Showcase vacation photos.. Family get-togethers, whatever you want! Then, you can rotate what the photos are on display whenever you feel like it!!!!
Right now, you can purchase the PhotoTrax in either white or black.
They sell for $12.99 a box (that is 4 trax per box)
Until June 7th, you can type in Blog in the discount code area and get $3.00 off.
So, what am I saying?
Know someone graduating? Great gift idea as they head off to college... They can hang photos up and not worry about it!
Know someone that lives on a military base? Great "thinking of you" idea... They would love to hang more pictures without worrying about it...
Know a guy that hunts and has a hunting lodge? Great Fathers Day idea for him to hang up pictures of his big ones!!!!
Know anyone that loves photos? Great "I love you" idea!!!!
Basically, get this for someone you know would love it..
I think we need to order more... as I am trying to think how I want to do the boys room when they are here...
I will say, I only have one draw back.. You can only hang these horizontally. I wish they would come up with a way to make a clip or something so that you can hang them vertically.
