Classico Creates a National Pasta Day to Remember!
No matter if you have family coming in from out of town, or if you are rushed for getting a meal on the table, you can always count on Classico to come through for you... At least we do at our house!
I was so thrilled to have the chance to review Classico for me to share with you all!
We were sent a pretty awesome package that had me feeling like it was Christmas morning...
I loved that they also included a couple recipe cards for us to, as I tend to look through what I have printed, versus what is available online when in a rush! We will be trying the recipes they sent soon!
I will say that I was so excited to try their new seasonal sauce, Creamy Spinach and Parmesan.
We actually could not wait to try with one of their recipes, so I used it when making spaghetti the other night.. OH MY GOODNESS! It was like I was eating Spaghetti at an Italian Restaurant, just not paying the price that I would have if I wasn't at home! I love it and I know we will be buying it again the next time I head to the store...

I plan on trying the Classic Stuffed Shells soon, so I will share that recipe with you!
-----------------------------------------------
Classic Stuffed Shells
Ingredients:
1 jar (24 oz) Classico Creamy Spinach and Parmesan Seasonal Sauce
18 Jumbo Shell Pasta
1/2 pound sweet or hot Italian style bulk sausage
2/3 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
15 ounces Ricotta Cheese
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon fresh flat-leaf parsley
How To:
1. Preheat oven to 350 Cook Pasta al dente according to package instructions and drain
2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium high heat, brown sausage, onions and garlic for 5 to 6 minutes, or until cooked thorough, stirring until small sausage crumbles form. Add pasta sauce and stir until well mixed. Spoon half sauce mixture evenly into bottom of 13x9 baking dish.
3. In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese and egg. Stuff each shell with about 2 Tbsp of cheese mixture. Arrange stuffed shells in a baking dish and spoon remaining sauce mixture evenly on top.
4. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and sprinkle remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and parsley on top. Bake for additional 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Want me to tell you a little secret (yet super easy) meal that I make quite often here?
Get a jar or two of your favorite Classico Alfredo. I normally do the Roasted Garlic... but if we have the boys and I will be making more, I will grab another flavor too, like maybe the four cheese one...
Get the pasta you want... For this, we go with Linguine....
Then, get some of the imitation crab meat from the store...
Yep.. Crab Alfredo!
We normally have several jars of the Alfredo and a wide variety of the pasta... So, whenever we are in the mood for it (or if you are like me and sometimes forget to take a meat out to thaw...) this is an easy go to recipe!
That my friends... Is what's for dinner!
No worries, they have "light" versions... We just have not tried them yet!(Feel free to visit Classico and click to print a coupon for $1 off 3 jars of Classico.)
- “In the spirit of full-disclosure, I’ve partnered with Classico and received product, coupons, premium items and reader giveaway coupons as part of my participation. However, no payment was given or expected for posting about the program, and as always, all opinions given here are fully my own. “
Now, who would like a free product coupon to try Classic Sauce at home?
Pasta is my rescue food! I love trying it with new sauces.
