Being a mom is one of the best things in the world to me...
Getting to see him learn and grow, absolutely amazing! Summer is so fun for us, since there is no worry about having to get up and go to school, it is about enjoying being at home and as always, making memories! One thing I am not fond of? Running from here to there and having to worry about what to cook for dinner. This summer started off a bit busy for us. We had his preschool graduation, a big brother graduation, karate classes went to 2 times a week instead of 1 and he was still in baseball!
So, although school was out, we still had places to go and things to do! The last thing on my mind was running to/from karate and baseball while also thinking about cooking a family meal every night.
Luckily for us, we love our neighborhood Wal-Mart and they had the effortless meals to make dinner time a breeze! Are you unfamiliar with the effortless meals? Well, Wal-Mart and Coca-Cola have teamed together to provide meals that are quick and easy! Today, I (along with the help from Broxton) get to share them with you!!!! Thanks to The Coca-Cola Company for providing compensation for this blog post.
Up first - have you seen their Sandwiches?
They have quite the selection and we really had a hard time choosing which ones we wanted to take home to try! The choices offered are:
American Grinder, Italian Hero, NY Deli Sub, Ham Swiss, Turkey Colby, and Roast Beef. If you want to cash in on the My Coke Rewards, you can purchase a half sandwich and a 16 ounce coke product --- then enter the information to score points!
But, OH- MY- GOODNESS!!! Look at how BIG that whole sandwich is! We decided to grab a couple of those big boys to cut up and share and they were DELICIOUS! If you follow on Instagram, you saw that I did post a few pictures of our dinner one night!
Wal-Mart also offers up some pretty juicy rotisserie chickens that are sure to delight! You can even throw it on a plate and claim it as your own, if you feel the need! (No, I have not done that - Marc would surely not want to try the chicken if I tried that one on him!) There is such a wide variety of flavors on the chicken, so I encourage you to see what all is offered. I will admit that I was a bit shocked at the flavors, as we have never seen that many in our store, but you better believe I am going to ask them about a few next time we are there! Look at the list by clicking on Rotisserie Chicken Meals link on the Coke Rewards website here.
The final selection in their effortless meals? These HUGE Pizzas! The flavors offered are : Pepperoni, Cheese and Five Cheese! Broxton wanted to get a pizza as well, but we decided against it that night. That would be a great way to feed all the boys when they get here for vacation!
As we know, meals are not complete without a few side items... I always have such a tough time deciding which "salad" I want to get... With all the different macaroni salads and potato salads, I just grab one that catches my eye that time... and we normally always have to grab a thing of coleslaw too!
Finally, of course, around this area - (Georgia, Born and Raised!) our beverage of choice is the good old Coca - Cola Classic! With 2 liters down to small cans, you can grab what is best for your serving options!
Make sure you come back tomorrow to learn more about the effortless meals. I just wanted to introduce you to them today... You know, to get them into your thoughts!

Our nearest Wal-Mart just opened a food section, and we can't wait to check it out. We've heard good things about their sandwiches, so I'm sure we'll try those first.
ReplyDeleteHow are the salads? We're very particular about those. :)
i love coca cola too but its really hard because its making me gain weight !:) agggh but i totally love it.. huge fan
ReplyDeleteWe shop the Walmart deli weekly and I agree..they have some easy meals. We really like the Rotisserie Chicken and the pizzas are good too.By the time we get done shopping I don't feel like cooking.
ReplyDeleteI am SO GLAD you said that...
DeleteI thought I was the only one that didn't feel like cooking after going grocery shopping ;)
LOL no..me too.Food shopping is exhausting as is ;)
DeleteIt looks like Broxton is a great helper at the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteThat's one area of the store I haven't explored. Thanks for the nudge to do so!
ReplyDeleteGet on it :)
DeleteWe actually almost always go through the grocery side when we go there...
I haven't seen those sandwiches but I've seen the rotisseries. With those I always feel like I have to cook them some more. I do not want pink on my meat :)
ReplyDeleteBut as long as these are healthy for a drive by night, I'm all for this! Especially in these long lazy and busy months!
It is great for us, as I can have Marc stop and grab one on the way home... cheaper than fast food and so good!
DeleteWe have never had issues with them having pink in them though...I am weird about my chicken.. I would rather it be over done than not cooked all the way - at any point.
My boyfriend and I LOVE Walmarts effortless meals! We tend to eat a lot of their sandwiches and potato salad. Delicious!!
ReplyDeleteWalmart has some Amish Beans in the sides section that my husband just loves. Everytime we make pulled pork (even if it's homemade) he wants me to swing by Walmart to get those beans. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny... and good to know, as I will be looking into them soon
