If you ask someone who their hero is, I am sure you will get 5 million different answers.  I was asked to be part of the #ShareYourHero Campaign with Mrs. Fields Cookies and I was thrilled to be a part of it.
First of all, I asked my 6 year old who a hero to him was.  OF COURSE his first answer was his daddy.  Not only because he is his daddy, but also because of the military.  Then, I asked him if he could tell me what a hero was.  He said a hero is somebody that is a good person and that helps you.

If you look up the definition of a hero, it says:
1. a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.
2. a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal.
3.  the principal male character in a story, play, film, etc.

While I do agree that all of our military should be seen as a hero to everyone, I want to highlight two other forms of a hero (in my opinion) today as well.
Up first: I have a friend that I consider to be a hero.  You might wonder why.
Well, she is a MILITARY WIFE.  Yes, we love what we do and we support our spouse in their chosen direction, but I to #ShareYourHero, I wanted to give a little recognition to the military spouse.

My friend Andrea is a perfect definition.  They are currently stationed in Georgia (great for me, since that I how I met her and her family) but they have no blood family here.  They have 2 children and their family gets to watch the children grow up on facebook video's and text messages.  Moving here, they didn't know anyone, so it wasn't like they had family and friends to call to get a babysitter.  When she had her second child, they had no one to call to ask to help watch their oldest while they went to the hospital.  (Lucky they had family fly in for the birth, but not always is that the case.)  Yes, we choose to live this life, but as I said, I think today is a great day to recognize that military spouses are pretty heroic in their own way.

The second person that gets the hero status?  My husband picked my dad.
I was quite shocked by this one and it made me so proud.  Yep, I know my dad is a hero to me...  but to hear my husband say it just put me over the moon.  You see, my dad adopted me when I was younger.  So, he not only married my mom, but got me as a package deal.  To Marc, that is a big deal.  Not only because of my dad and our history, but because Marc has always looked up to my dad and has made several comments about him being the male figure in his life that he always needed / wanted.   Talk about hearing something great!!!!

We were sent special cookies from Mrs. Fields that have stickers on them that has a spot to write in the name of a hero.  Of course, we had to share with the heroes mentioned already, but Broxton is so excited to get to take and give them to different heroes in our community. He believes that the firemen, police and EMS workers all deserve to be recognized as heroes every single day!!!!
Make sure to head over to my INSTAGRAM page to see more photos!

So, today, as I celebrate the different HEROES in MY LIFE... Take a minute and tell me who a hero to you might be.
A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Fields for letting us be a part of this campaign!

Don't you want to be a part of this too?  Just head over to
Mrs. Fields website and enter the contest!  The winner will win a years supply of Mrs. Fields cookies for themselves and their hero.  They would also win their hero being on a future box of cookies!!!
