I just finished hanging out with the Wakefield Twins!!!
Yes!!!!
You read that right!
Growing up, I was an avid reader...
and I - LOVED- SWEET - VALLEY - HIGH!
Just the thought...
California.
Sweet Valley, to be exact!
I had not thought about them in years.
Not meaning forever and ever, just not recently!
There are times that I think back to the books I used to love to read, and Sweet Valley is one that tops the list.
I never in a million years thought that they would enter my life this soon!
I figured I would share my love of Jessica and Elizabeth if I ever had a daughter...
I never thought that Francine Pascal would bring the Sweet Valley Characters back to life.
A little bit ago, I got an email asking if I remembered Sweet Valley High!
Ha ha!
Like I could forget!
Then, I was a teenager reading of the teen Wakefield twins...
I was now an adult reading of what had happened and the directions their lives headed as they entered into their adulthood!
The ONLY drawback...
I felt as though the word "LIKE" was used WAY more often than I remembered...
Other than that, it felt like I slipped back into the drama filled days of high school!
It was wonderful!
I started reading it and I just could not stop!
All 293 pages seemed to fly by so fast!!!
I wanted to know what had happened...
Wow! So much had changed, yet at the same time, so many things had stayed the same...
Mainly --- Jessica!
Up to being, well... Jessica!
Yes, we read about Jessica and Elizabeth...
But, we also learn what happened to the rest of the characters we loved so much!
So, if you were a Sweet Valley fan...
or if you just want to read a great book...
Sweet Valley Confidential is a must!!!!
SYNOPSIS:
About Sweet Valley Confidential: Ten Years Later
Ten years after graduating from Sweet Valley High, the Wakefield twins have had a falling out of epic proportions. When Jessica commits what can only considered a complete and utter betrayal, Elizabeth flees to New York to escape the pain and immerse herself in her lifelong dream of becoming a serious reporter. Things seem to be going well: new job, new friends, new romances, but still there’s a burning anger inside that won’t die.
Jessica remains in California, dealing with the fallout of her heart-wrenching choices and holding onto what semblance of normalcy she can. She has a career she loves and friends she’s known forever, but she misses her sister, her oldest and best friend. Sweet Valley remains the beautiful California home of her youth, but passions are beginning to arise that will likely cause earthquakes in this otherwise peaceful town.
Despite the distance between them, the sisters are never far from each other’s thoughts. Jessica longs for forgiveness, but Elizabeth can’t forget her twin’s duplicity.
Uncharacteristically, she decides the only way to heal her broken heart is to get revenge. Always the “good” twin, the one getting her headstrong sister out of trouble, Elizabeth is now about to turn the tables..

I loved all the Sweet Valley Books! I had the entire (to that date) collection when I was a teen. I hope that at least one of my kids will enjoy reading as much as I did and will want to read them. It is so hard to pick one favorite character. I always liked Elizabeth and Jessica (and now that I'm a mom to twins, I am living the whole different personality of twins thing). I also liked Lila, I think more out of feeling bad for her.

I loved the Sweet Valley books! Started with the Twins, felt so old when I started reading the High part of the series! Elizabeth was my favorite character, being bookish myself, I felt like I could really relate to her!
