Diary of a Wimpy Kid- Rodrick Rules - Review

Having the boys here, we watch plenty of movies...

When the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid came out, I watched it...

and thought it was cute!
Then, when the boys came to visit, we watched it as well.

As soon as I saw that I could review Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Roderick Rules, I immediately said YES!
I knew that the boys would enjoy it, so why pass it up?
Now, the boys are not here yet...

But that did not stop me from watching it!

Of course, it is in typical boy humor...

and this does not disappoint!
Poor Greg, you know...

The middle brother.

His younger brother seems to get away with everything and his older brother spends his time trying to torture Greg in every way possible.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid has Greg going into 7Th grade...

and dealing with a crush, a new girl named Holly!

Between Rowley's magic act and Roderick being, well, Roderick...
Is Holly going to notice Greg?

Can Roderick actually be a nice big brother and give advice, or be the mean torturous one and make life even more miserable?

It did crack me up that their mom writes for their paper and is constantly talking about the family...

I wonder, will our kids be embarrassed about our blogging like Greg is with his moms column?

If you were a fan of the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid, you will love this one...

Synopsis:

Greg Heffley is about to discover that there is something worse than middle school – his own family! Just back from summer vacation, Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon,National Treasure: Book of Secrets) and his friend Rowley (Robert Capron, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) enter the next grade as undersized weaklings in their school. A bully favorite, Greg tries not to get noticed by anyone except the pretty new girl, Holly Hills (Peyton List,27 Dresses). And at home, Greg is still at war with his older brother, Rodrick (Devon Bostick, “Degrassi”), until their mom Susan (Rachael Harris, The Hangover) instigates a ‘Mom Bucks’ program so Greg and Rodrick can earn play money by doing chores and—gasp!—being nice to each other. Calamity ensues when their parents return from vacation and dad Frank (Steve Zahn, A Perfect Getaway) finds evidence that Rodrick secretly threw a houseparty with his band, Löded Diper.
