I am always up for trying new stuff.
Broxton will try things from time to time... But if you try and MAKE him.... forget about it.
If you offer and then go on about your business, he will most likely try it.
(At least if you are anyone that is NOT his daddy!  ha ha ha)
We were sent the Macro Greens/ Miracle Reds products for review and I was not really sure what to expect.   It was a powdered mix and Broxton was eager to help me out.
Of course, they package it totally marketing it to kids...  So, he wanted to try it before I even offered it!
The directions say to add a little water before to the mix to try and turn it into a liquid before adding milk or whatever you plan to do with it.
It was not that easy for us.  Each time we tried to mix it, we still had spots that we just could not get to dissolve.  I honestly do not know if the company is at fault or not.  Ha ha ha... when you have a 4 year old running the show on the first couple of times, it really is hard to tell!!!
After about the 3rd or 4th time of making it, we pretty much have it figured out, minus one or two parts that just do not seem to want to dissolve.  I finally gave up on it and when drinking with a straw, it isn't a big deal.
Broxton seemed to like the coco one the most:

Since the boys were here for their summer break, I figured I would let them test it out as well.
The youngest tried the Miracle Reds (berry) and he was not a fan.  He would not say anything negative about it, but he was not quick to drink it down and has not asked for it again...
I was not really impressed with the berry flavor. I am not sure what I was looking for.  I think I would have been more likely to enjoy if it were more of a strawberry flavor...   It just seemed sort of light.

All in all, the coco flavor was the best to me (and seems to be the same for Broxton)  It wasn't that the berry had a bad taste, it just was not that strong of a taste for me.  To change it up, this is a nice addition to have around.  I did see they have a recipe section on their site, so I will be trying these out soon! ( I am 100 % certain the boys will inhale them smoothies!!!!)

Bottom line, when life gets to hectic and we aren't eating as healthy as we should...
I like knowing there is the MacroLife line to add fruits and veggie servings to Broxton's diet.
(They also make adult ones too!)

  1. These look great. I actually take a green powder in my water once a day to help me get more greens in my diet.
